I bought my 2018 Honda Civic EX sedan used from Honda with 39,000kms on it for $17,500 + tax in 🇨🇦 back in Aug. 2021. It was thanks to yours and Scotty Kilmer’s videos. The car runs like a dream. 0 problems so far at 61,000kms. Love it! Thanks, Mark!
Thanks very much Devin for watching. Have a great weekend.
@@ECPP You’re welcome! Thank YOU for your amazing videos. Have a great weekend, Mark.
Thanks so much for your advice. Good to see that its warmed up there as well.
My friend got molested by the Toyota dealer few months ago. Out of the door with Tax/title,,,fees $27K + 15% APR. And that just for a Corolla base model.
Wow...he must have a sore rear end to go along with that rug burn!😂😂😂
Great one Mark!!! Just what I needed to watch.
Thanks for the support. Cheers
I could be wrong but I would think finding a brand new Camry for 25k is not going to be easy🤔
I agree, but they are out there.
Cheap, great car, I just got a Corolla with service records for all fluids and I love it. It’s shiny and makes me happy with my 200 miles work commute.
Awesome work Mark- great info as usual!
Thanks very much
Well done Mark. Keep them coming...
Thanks. Does this seem like a good style of video?
Another great review. Spot on with the Mazda 3. Own a Carbon edition, 2023 Mazda 3 N/A FWD. 6 speed auto. Love this car. Mazda doing a great job with their line up like the 2023 gen 4 Mazda 3 you talked about. Tons of safety features as well as a high end Luxury vibe without the Luxury price. Reliability right up their with Honda and Toyota as well. Happy your highlighting some Mazda Vehicles. Many more people would purchase these vehicles if they knew more about them. Mazda sales are increasing, especially the popular cx5 however the Mazda brand is still way underated due to their marketing and size perhaps compared to the competition. Your helping with your frank, detailed, concise, history of these vehicles. Thank you. 😊 👌
Great list. My pick (from this list) would go to the Camry, but not likely going to find a new one for under $25K.
Cheets
Great update Mark 👍🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 have a great weekend ✌️
Thanks very much
Your videos are always the best! Your car knowledge is priceless 😄
Honda fixed the oil delusion problem with the use of the GF6 oil design for GDI turbo charge engines.
It’s still
Hit and miss not worth taken a chance and at 150k miles turbo will be shot and about 2 k just for new one with out labor no thanks still only makes about 180 HP
I'm not having issues with my 2022 CR-V's 1.5 turbo 4 or the CVT
Great videos. Love the channel
Thanks
Remember the topic here. Yes you can get a fancier used car for the same amount but be prepared to shell out for costly repairs.
Thats why you buy used toyota or lexus. Dont even try with a Merc or BMW 🤣
The Camry for $25.3 looks like the best value to me.
I remember when even some V-8 engines didn't make 200 HP and economy cars sometimes couldn't even make it up some hills. It does still seem though that reliability is inversely proportional to high performance.
What is a good around 30,40k, reliable, good for travel n also good on gas or hybrid too. Crossover/suv, recommendations ?
2018 Honda Accord Sport 2.0 VTEC. $25k. 32-34mpg. Can't beat it.
Awesome car
Siempre veo tus videos gracias por los consejos bendiciones 🙏
"Transportation device" that says it all.
Yes
I'd pull the trigger on 4Runner this year and wait to see if the 4cyl turbo lasts in the 2024. First year of a major redesign don't usually work out that well.
Excellent vehicles
Mark, I have a 2007 Toyota Camry XLE. The motor went bad, with 186,000 miles. It has some other issues. My question is, should I replace the engine, and fix the other issues, or trade it for a newer model? I haven’t had a car note since 2014, and I do not want another one. Thanks in advance for your advice..
The Chr next to the Mazda 3 was voted most reliable and most dependable next to Lexus next to any vehicle.
Camrys look sooo gooid but go for about 40k plus here in Canada
If the used car you are thinking about getting has 30k or more miles, you will need to replace tires & brakes soon. Both combined about $2,000.
Great list of cars
Thank you
😅 I was watching as you were reviewing the good cars and saw some not-so-good cars in between.. I was wondering if they would be next.. However, you passed them by with good reason😂
Bought a 2019 Toyota Corolla SE hatchback...6 speed manual...15 years of no hassle...
Very simple and reliable little car. Can’t go wrong there
Stick with the 2.0 L VTEC. Just got a 2018 Civic ex one owner 48,000 miles. I drove a Civic hatchback with the 1.5 turbo and I don't like the lag before the turbo boosts up.
You’re lucky if you can find any used car that isn’t junk. It’s a unicorn. Do a pre purchase inspection. Not after you buy it. And, when or if you find a decent used car, they ask way too much for it. Good luck. Look for hidden rust and other red flags.
And isn't price the same or more than a new car.
i would pick the Toyota Camry in a heartbeat. Corolla or civic are good choices if you are looking into 1.8litre engines smaller cars but if you want a bigger car that is Totally reliable, easy to maintain and excellent resale value? hands down Camry is the car you should go for
The 2024 Honda Civic come with either the 2.0L naturally aspirated engine or the 1.5L turbocharged engine.
I just bought one (2.0L engine in my case) ... I didn't want a turbo engine especially since I live in a colder climate (Canada).
Can you do a review or commentary on the Mazda cx90 (3.3t version)?
Looked better than I thought it would for a Mazda, but not sure how good it actually is - Mazda as a brand and this model etc.
Mazda reliability as a whole has improved drastically over the years especially compared to the 2000's and early 2010's.
Great, versatile vehicles!
Only downside is not having capacity to haul the flea ridden, Cheeto hiding mattress or couch on top of. Arguably, you can stuff that in the back and tie in with a rope.
Honestly, I didn't think they were new vehicles at that price point, anymore.
Haha nice Thomas, love the description of these cheap new cars. Some can haul, a little of the cockroach favourite hiding spots. There are still a few good values out there. How are things there these days? Are you guys getting some of the smoke these days?
@@ECPP Not yet. Usually, when BC has fires, we get it down here. That is, if we don't create our own. So far, so good! Can't speak too soon, it's early!
I already knew the usual suspects before I hit play😂
Nice
I can attest to Toyota quality. My 2006 Matrix just passed 212,000 miles and runs perfect.
Got a yaris it's 2016 I use it for uber/pizza delivery it has 160,591 but it barely gave me problems just radiator oxgen sensor and battery for tye time being going to get another yaris when miles keep going up toyita and Honda are good but I like toyota better
Does your Matrix have the automatic transmission?
@@myk1_sp Automatic with 4WD.
@@Jac735 They are great cars even though they are the lower tier model.
I have a 2010 Matrix manual gearbox 270000 km. Runs like a champ. Even though I have Subaru WRX, I ain't getting rid of Matrix
For vehicles under $25k, used is always the best option.
Yes and No, all dependent on your location and the type of car your buying. Where I live used cars are very high in price especially for Toyota and Hondas. Sometimes it's better to spend a little extra just for the brand new one.
@@KT-si9rz You can still plan to buy the older used models, which are the 1990's and the 2000's. They are way cheaper than brand new.
It depends what you want but yeah you can't beat a 2/4 yrs old luxury car with 40% depreciation 😂
In Australia cars 2-3 years old which have already taken the depreciation hit and still have factory warranty for a couple more years are a great deal
There's used cars, and there are cars that used to be rental vehicles. Then again, a "used" car can be a car for grandma that was bought brand new for her birthday, and she just put only 15K miles on it until she was diagnosed with Glychoma and her driver's license had to be taken. In that situation, I'd buy the "used" car. 😉
In my opinion, I rather buy an older model with a better engine at the same price as a newer civic or camry. Ex. You can find a a Lexus GS350 for around 25k. Alot of people dont know they have the same engine basically from 2008 through 2020. Tons of options all with basically the same engine. A few tweaks to the fuel system were done on the newer models but still a 2GS engine. Very reliable and since its Lexus, loaded with options even on the older models. To each their own though. Simply my opinion. I know alot of people rather have a newer car with a 4 cyl turbo.
Yup I agree, quality control and design ain't that great anymore and that's even for newer Toyota and Hondas.
For a car under 25k , i’d always go for a Mazda or Lexus
Please Next video: Best vehicles you can buy between $25,000 to $37,000.
Plus are used Mercedes worth purchasing? With best years.
Thank You
Looks like you recorded this at the corner of 178th and Stony Plain Rd
We love ❤️ our 2022 Toyota Corolla LE.
I believe the first 4 good pick but CRV could have been Nos 5 😊
New subscriber
good thing you mentioned "reliable" under 25k.. cause some ppl would get a bimmer or Mercedes at that price thinking only about their image .. But those aren't reliable at all with pricey maintenance
Thanks for watching. Yes we want to recommend a reliable car for those just looking for that attribute
Now that prices are through the roof I was considering on a new car instead used what would advise me to do
25k is a lot , if you finance then you know it's a lot. Get a vehicle for your needs. Not what everybody else wants, but what you want. 25k you get pretty much get any type of vehicle style. I would for Sedan. I like to many of the new ones so it's hard to justify which one to pick.
Thanks
My 2010 Honda Civic coupe (purchased new) was a disappointment. Maintenance costs weren't cheap either as Honda dealers seem to always try to push unnecessary repairs and they charge a lot. My Honda probably would have lasted longer had it not been totaled by someone driving into me. My Corolla I loved. These days in the U.S. Toyota vehicles are way over sticker price and unnecessary add-ons.
It's a shame that the most reliable cars are...well, the most uninspired, unimaginative, and boring vehicles that we can buy.
That’s about the bottom
Line in 95 percent of the situations
I bought a CX3 for $19k. Brand new. I luv it
Great little vehicles
Honda (Acura) all day for live
Nice
25k before they BEND U OVER😂😂😂... more like 32-35OTD.. LOVE the reviews as always..
Thank you so much
Lincoln mkz. The best bang for your buck on the market. Better than all these cars combined and easily under 25k.
Probably in Ontario cars a lot cheaper because in Vancouver a used 2020 Honda goes over $30.000 plus taxes.😡
Cheers
@@ECPP Excellent info and videos keep up the good work. Hello from Vancouver BC👍
Finally got the camry right it is a ES not LS
When gas prices don’t go down. I look for a reliable car that gets me regular unleaded fuel.
Yes regular fuel is like 30-40 cents cheaper than premium around here.
Toyotas and Hondas are great cars. I find it interesting though that you, Scotty Kilmer, and others push these, and stick it to Korean cars. And when you look at the cars that are selling the fastest - it's Hyundais and Kias. I've owned Korean cars for 20 years now - zero issues - unbelievable trouble-free autos. But - Japanese automakers don't want people to know this.
Wow! $25 k cars considered cheap now a days.
Honda civic costs 45000€ in Europe.
The first 2 vehicles can easily last up to 200,000 miles, and seeing the tree in the background, it is still cold up there in Canada, eh
Now as we speak its finally nice out here, finally.
200k is the tip of the iceberg for the Civic and Corolla. With basic maintenance easily 350k.
How u fill about the new 2023 Malibus ?
nah
They are turbo powered.. Fine to lease, but personally, I would not buy a turbo.
Anyone else jumped when he smacked the camera?
Haha, cheers
What's about honda hr-v?
Nice units
Newer cars starting all of this 30k or 35k even Toyotas are getting expensive. Additionally used cars are cheaper (except Lexus) you’ll need to see that before the MSRP. Newer cars aren’t cheap to buy sadly.
thanks
The new Honda Civic is not available with an automatic transmission! It's a CVT transmission and I suggest everyone might want to research these transmissions before purchasing.
Cheers
Do You a Video for Cheap Reliable Cars Under $10, 000? When Recommending these Cars can you say what years they are Please.
With an estimated 30 million people fleeing cities over the last 2 1/2 years, we need AWD standard now. ❤️✝️🇺🇸
cheers
Idk about the mazdas though lol
Thanks. They have become a real contender
None of these cars are under 25000$ in Canada.🙄
I'd rather go used for 25K you get more bang for your buck. I bought my 2017 Acura TLX V6 SH-AWD Tech package with 45000 KM on the clock for 22,900$ in 2021. For that price I'd get a very basic car brand new. I don't have apple carplay and android auto but I can do without it. Not sure why the Honda Civic and Honda Accord of the same year have that tech but the TLX doesn't...
I agree , I would also go used. However you cant compare a 6 year old car with a brand new one..
@Karim N Well... I bought my car in May 2021 so it was a 4 years old car when I bought it not 6 years old. A brand new 2021 base model Honda Civic was around the same price at that time. I have more luxury features (minus apple carplay/ android auto), more comfort, way more power, and AWD which is very important since I live in Canada. I also skipped the depreciation drop of a brand new car when leaving the dealership
Where are you finding 2 door Civics? As far as I can see they only make them in a 4 door now. Also can’t get a manual transmission or sunroof with out buying an Si for 27,000. Also Mazda stop making the speed 3. So disappointed in automobile manufacturers today.
I am sorry but he right LIFE IS TO SHORT TO DRIVE BORING CARS !! I stick to my MINI COOPER S. Now thats a blast to drive I agree that they are small and not very inexpensive as far repairs bit it makes it up on the Smile you get when you drive instead of driving these cars on the list I’m sorry but that’s my opinion
We'll wave to you in our "boring" cars as we pass by while you're at the garage getting the thing fixed. 😜
I’m surprised you didn’t include a Volkswagen Jetta. Just like a civic and Corolla and better looking.
Unfortunately epa is ruining these good cars.
Exactly
Cars are way cheaper in the US than the UK.
Well…
Life is too short to drive boring cars...
Toyota toyota Toyota all day long
Nice
👍🏻👍🏻
Ford Fusion must be there..
It comes down to , of you like RELIABILITY, GO with JAPANESE 🍡......
🔥💯👍👏👌
Cheers
👍🏾🔥
❤❤❤
Why is he shouting?
To make sure I can be heard
Let me guess: honda and toyota? junk
Who's this guy trying to fool can't buy a fifteen-year-old Honda less than $25,000
