  • The Phantom Ops pant from Vertx take many of the same great features as the Phantom LT and adds a side utility pocket and larger more overt cargo pocket. With that pocket these pants can be a little more overt as compared to the Phantom LT's.

    I bought a pair of Kuhl Liberator convertible pants based on your RUclips review. Sub. Now watching your other videos even though I'm not planning to buy anything at the moment. Your reviews are well thought out (side by side comparison), quality recording, helpful seeing the garments on you, etc. TOP NOTCH WORK that's appreciated. Thank you

      SnareMan I absolutely love them. The fabric
      is amazing. Emailed Kuhl and was informed the liberators are the only pants made of this unique fabric.

    Good review Snareman, like the bit at the end when you are filmed wearing them. Always prefer seeing them worn on these vids. They seem to run to size, 34inch waist for me, fits fine.

    Another great review. Very thorough. I have the LT and the OPS. Prefer the LT because the thigh pockets do not blouse out as much and look less like tactical shoot me first pants.

      Thanks. If the LT's had the knife pocket they'd be perfect.

    Great review. Might try a pair of these to bolster my 5.11 TacLite inventory. I hate putting anything of weight in the cargo pockets though. Especially a full-up ar mag. Once you start running it bounces around and pummels the legs.

      @SnareMan  10 лет назад +2

      The Taclites were great pants... until all of this better stuff came along. Now there are so many better choices.

    • @SnareMan
      @SnareMan  10 лет назад +1

      Instigator X I don't have any experience with the shorts, but if you want understated go with the original Vertx Phantom LT's

    The 5.11 Stryke pants are my favorite but I really like that side utility pocket on these. The problem I have had with the Tac Lite Pros and the Tru Spec 24/7 is that they're too baggy in the thighs. The Stryke Pants are MUCH better; can you comment on the fit through the thigh as compared to those other makes/models?
    Thanks for another great pant review!

    • @SnareMan
      @SnareMan  10 лет назад

      Thanks! You are correct - both of those are cut very generous in the thigh and Tru-Spec even says that they were designed for larger thighs. I'd say the Stryke's are the slimmest, followed by the Condor Stealth Operator (video is almost done and should be up next weekend or the following), followed by the Vertx pants. The Helikon Tex pants are also slim, but are harder to get in the US. I'd say these are just maybe slightly looser than the Stryke pants. I got rid of all of my TacLites because there are just far better pant choices these days.

    • @LogicBob
      @LogicBob 10 лет назад

      SnareMan Awesome! I really appreciate that. I do think the only people who are still wearing the TacLite Pros are the ones that don't know what they're missing. I just ordered two more pairs of Stryke pants in the new (to that line) Tundra color yesterday and saw the ad on 5.11s site for their "Most popular pants, the TacLite Pros" and thought to myself, "Try lowering the price of the Stryke pants to that of the TacLites and see what happens!"
      Anyway, thanks again SnareMan!

    Awesome! recently I saw your video on the new BMW 435 and it looks sweet. If you don't mind me asking, approximately how much is the import/export fee to bring it into the US? Thanks!

      Its all included as part of their European Delivery program and you save a bunch of money on the car. No extra costs.

    Good timing on the video. Just got an email with a discount for these pants and am considering them in smoke gray, and now I’ve seen a video on the very pants I’m thinking about. How do these compare to the Original Tactical pants for warmth and comfort. I have 3 pairs of the original tactical pants, but no experience with the 65% Poly / 35% Cotton, Mini Rip-Stop pants.

    • @SnareMan
      @SnareMan  10 лет назад

      I like the blends much better. Lighter, more comfortable, dries faster, better in cold weather, wrinkles less, shrinks less

    Which would be better for hot weather? Phantom Ops or the Phantom Lightweight Tactical?

    • @SnareMan
      @SnareMan  8 лет назад +1

      They are both essentially the same weight pants. Same material, just different pocket layouts, although the Phantom Ops feels like they are a little heavier. If you can get a pair with the Airflow system it might be better for breathability.

    How's the length and waist of the pant, is it true to size or is it better going up a size.

    • @SnareMan

      Length is good/normal. Waist is close but I still go up an inch on vertx pants.
