Surprisingly the movie is under 2 hours.
I've seen this trailer a few times. I just started reading the book and am still on the prologue. Honestly this movie does look promising so far, I like the look of the Vampires and the tone looks fitting for this story. But so far it is hard for me to tell if this'll be really that good, especially given that I heard they "reworked" the books ending. Either way, gonna keep reading the book and probably re-watch the 1979 Mini-series turned movie and the 2004 Rob Lowe version, and wait for this to hit DVD/Blu-Ray.
Lewis Pullman is the brother character in Strangers: Prey at Night. He puts up a fight in the pool against the killer and is stabbed in the back but survives in the film. He's Bill Pullman's son in real life. He kinda looks like he could be Tom Holland's older brother lol. Not a bad actor from what I've seen. This new Salem's Lot flick looks ok but a lot of these modern Stephen King adaptations all have that same similar look and feeling to them of the It remake. It'll probably just be mid at best.
It is actually getting a theatrical release in the UK and Ireland and some other countries, just not in the US (for whatever reason?). Maybe someone can come on and explain why it's getting no big screen US release? 🤔
Couldn’t possibly be worse than that 2004 mini series with Rob Lowe and the late, great Rutger Hauer.
I barely remember that one. Will revisit it soon.
I also didn’t enjoy Salems Lot. I much prefer Midnight Mass which is basically the same story but done better imo. I might give this one a shot since I got MAX for free.
Midnight Mass is pretty good.
