    Your notes say it’s in drop D, but you are playing power chords in standard style. Is the whole guitar tuned down a whole step?

    conspiracy theory time-tool ripped their sound off quicksand and this song specifically. omission was on quicksands first ep released on revelation in 1990. also on revelation at the time was zach de la rocha's band inside out. tom morello from ratm's room mate at the time was adam jones of tool. if you listen to this and tool especially starting w/ undertow the similarities in the vocals guitar playing and drumming are hard to miss.

      Thank you for this comment. I am really glad to read it because I totally agree. I am a huge fan of Tool's discography and that's true that Quicksand's Slip sounds very similar with Tool's Undertow.

      @@punkhardcorecovers when i heard omission for the first time 20ish years ago i remember thinking 'man they really ripped off tools sober' my mind was blown when i found out quicksand released omission on their first ep before tool was even playing shows
