What's the width of each feeding space? How do you work out the correct feed size as the cows seems to be much fatter than the space between feed bars.
Fair play lads. looks excellent silage. l know it's easy talk, but just looking at feeding meal.... could that gate at the end be removed so you don't have to walk around it? Also a barrow b handy to carry buckets to far pens or just on loader. Ye open the bales at the near end and shove to the far end... again ye probably have your reasons. A dark winters evening b easy catch a head.
well they feed like that then no waste as you see from other ways to feed cattle like with round bails little waste but makes a mess round were is feed.
Good one. Interesting to see how long it takes the beasts to get down to eating!

why is there still horns?

Sorry maybe silly question. Why are the bars at an angle? would it not be easier for the cows if the bars were straight up and down?
Its so the cattle arent able to pull the silage onto the slatts so when your agitating there ist ould stalky silage getting caught in the agitator
@@davidhogan329 does it do much damage to the agitator?
@@ritchiemullins6384 not really much damage it just blocks the agitator and if it gets stuck in it it’s a cun* to get out
@@davidhogan329 our whore of a contractor rarely chops it!
