A leader has to have all three of these. 1. Courage 2. Honest 3. Empathy. Your creator wants you to have no fear but to have compassion and unconditional ❤️ love. A leader wants you to lead not dictate. Opposite of love is fear. Have no fear for others to lead. God is unconditional love.

Thank you for highlighting to me my responsibility as a leader in community, family, and example; and the true love, patience, humility, and dedication to the Way a leader meant is to have.

Thank you, Rabbi Jacobson. Your words today made me cry. I've stopped listening and reading so much of the news at the moment as it seems many of our leaders are failing us, as you so eloquently put this topic to us. Coupled with years of having worked for managers and businesses that have no respect for their employees, it has made me question, at times, the humility within general society. Your words are correct.
I suffered a head injury just over a year ago and have faced some great personal struggles this last year that has also opened my eyes far more clearly to the ignorance that has surrounded me from every which way I could turn. But through this period, I have met some great people who dedicate their time and energy to the betterment of those people who are struggling.
I thank God that I have found these good people, and I see their leadership qualities in the works they do for the charities they chose. I have more respect for these individuals than I have for managers I have worked for in my past. They show the humility that many of our leaders fail to show us on a daily basis.

My ❤️ and 🙏 go out to you.
I've also experienced terrible managers during my life, developed chronic illness that caused me to no longer have the ability to work.
It can be devastating to not get the understanding and help needed to recover, or support needed to live through the difficult times.
I'm glad you now have people to help you.

In this day and age, like most everything else, is subjective. I find an effective leader who inspires, and encourages others in a
an authentic and grounded way to strive to be the best they can be as a humane individual. That kind of leader is like a northern star who is reliable, consistent and stays the course in their character and virtue. That leader comes from within to those who are willing to seek and find him within ourselves and others.
