As a USC guy, I expected them to have a loss by now, specifically to Oregon State because we always lose in Corvallis, and I still expect them to drop at least one, probably two, games by the end of the season. I thought that if UCLA could beat the Ducks -- extremely tough environment -- and ran the table except for a determination in the USC game, it might be best to get them in the league championship and beat them there after losing to them on 11/19. But then if UCLA could eliminate USC beforehand by beating them on the 19th, then the team has to do it even in facing the Ducks or the Utes for the league championship. I believe you're right; people say that after Charbs, DTR, Bobo, and some of the guys on defense leave after this year many to the NFL, that this will more likely be just a one-year run. The thing about his teams is, if he has a good qb with experience, he'll most likely field a good team. I expect Garbers to step in next year as a RS junior and lead the team well. I think, too, that recruiting will pick up, and he'll get some really good transfers, in addition to his building up walk-on players like Dulcich, Habermehl, and the others.

USC - UCLA being back in the fray would bring college football back. I think CFB has been stifled in it's potential due to the monopoly of riches in Alabama & Clemson. Meanwhile the North has no reason to go to bed late and the West has no reason to wake up early. I think 4 strong conferences and the 12-16 team playoff would be amazing for the sport. Young men seem to be compelled to Alabama despite that their longevity in CFB or the NFL is not guaranteed there. The best players come from adversity in college. This new chaotic system allows for talent not only to spread, but for my adversity. Seen now in Texas v. Bama, UCLA the last 4 years, and the transfer portal standouts around the country.

Rooting for my Trojans but UCLAs dominant wins over the huskies and utes is a bit worrisome especially since they won those games on the ground. And USC has had trouble against good run offenses.

A few days ago, Klatt goes on Cowherd and says USC will lose to WSU unless they create turnovers, because without them, USC can't stop anyone on defense. The Trojans then shut WSU down completely and surrender no points in the entire second half of the game, despite the fact that they didn't get a single turnover all game and Klatt points the finger at national perception and biased polls. That's rich! Maybe try stop being part of the problem.

Don't be so sure. USC and UCLA (and Washington and Oregon if they join the B10) are programs that will compete on the highest level alongside
Michigan,Ohio State, and Penn State. Maybe the B10 might reconsider eliminating divisions (if they stay at expanding to 16) because USC and UCLA
are marquee programs that instantly raise the quality of the B10 west.

You have to hope USC doesn’t have a lead, Caleb and the receivers are having an off night, the team in the lead can keep running consistently even when it doesn’t work and the other teams defense holds up all night. That’s a lot of ifs. Utah is one of the few teams that could do it but I don’t know if they’re explosive enough offensively.

Love the sweet talk. The PAC 12 runs through Eugene. Utah will handle USC, maybe. Like to see USC but really think Oregon is just starting to roll. UCLA with Chip coming back to Eugene next week, has me giddy. Lanning is getting his feet on the ground for Oregon and that line is starting to gel. I think Oregon will win the Pac and get hosed because they lost to Georgia. USC will get a long look if they win the Pac, but if UCLA, I wonder.
