Awesome! I love seeing a goal ticked off. Nice organisation skills too! Personally I'd just do mixed tubes and get them stacked. It would also be nice to see them all loose in a big treasure chest haha
I have chosen to sort by year only for my partial tubes. If I have 5 tubes of one year, I will sort by mint mark and try to complete that tube, and I will, but inevitably I have 35 of one, 42 of another…I just have combo 1924 tubes. I just discovered you, it’s amazing how similar we are in our “hobby”. I’m gonna send you an email.
I have a "cull" tube for the mercs where I can't read the date. And I have a "errors" tube for the ones that seem to be damaged or have weird features I may want to investigate as "die cracks" or DDOs, etc. Otherwise I sort by date and mint mark regardless of how worn. The older mercs (teens and 20's) are significantly more worn than the 40's.
@@silversurfwax3863 perfect! This helps. I prefer stacking mercury over Roosevelt's even though the ware, I feel quality of mercury for bartering and quickly identifying makes them more versatile worth the small premium. Imo
@@noctilucent7396 totally agree. The mercs are distintive! Also, at your LCS, or online, you can buy bulk "random dimes" and will often get a mix of Roosevelts and Mercury dimes. for a lower premium than specific bulk type.
I recently got into Constitutional silver for my stack and ordered my first $5 set of Mercs. How do you go about washing them? 🤔 Forget it. I asked too soon. Should have kept watching before posting...🙄
I mostly purchase online. This order was from APMEX. However I mostly have seem to purchase from SDBullion.com, as they've been best price over the years, however lately I've found SilverGoldBull.com has been cheapest.
Yes, good correction. It's amazing how many little mistakes I find in my sloppy speaking. I just posted a video and said "carbon dioxide" vs "carbon monoxide" like I meant to. It seems the words that leave my mouth are not always aligned with what my brain is thinking!!!
Congratulations!!! Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
Congrats brother 🙌
Thank you so much 😀

That's a great idea! I do love seeing silver coins all mixed up with different sizes in a treasure chest-like find. A real eye opener.
I have to say you're well organized!!
Thank you!!!
Foil bottom of a bowl Boiling water baking soda works fantastic comes out brand new
Great tip! Yes, I've wanted to try it as an experiment. May may a video someday, but I'll certainly get some numismatic hate

Congratulations on this achievement, I myself just hit 200oz on my way to 500.
Thank You! And congrats on your stack accomplishment and goals! Awesome!
What do you do with the super thin Mercury's?

Has anyone ever told you you sound kind of like nicholas cage? I had that thought and now I can't unhear it.
Hahaha, hilarious! I’ll have to practice his cadence
I think he sounds more like Riley, the sidekick (actor Justin Bartha) in the National Treasure movie series. (Damn good movies, if I do say so!)
You should probably buy all brown books. The blue ones may cause your dimes to corrode on the edges.
Yeah, I'm not sure, I bought them from my LCS in the last 4 years. I heard they improved, but not sure.

Nice! Glad you got some mercs! They are addicting!!!
Breathe!!
hahaha!
Did you buy online, LCS, or do you have a wholesaler?

@@silversurfwax3863 I buy from SD Bullion, and Silvergoldbull also. Gold mostly.

When I bought mercury dimes from sd they don't seem to be as good of shape as some I have bought off of Ebay.
You misspoke when you said Sacramento and not San Francisco.
Just thought I'd let you know my friend.

I think you should mix them, but your OCD will not like it.
I know right!!!
Wow that’s bad ocd ,lol
Haha, yes, I got it bad!
@@silversurfwax3863 great video I really enjoyed that thank you.
