Zenitsu telling Inosuke and Tanjiro to drop dead because of complaining about the rehabilitation training is probably the most out of pocket thing in the entire show.
5:10 The floating blue flames around him are ghost lights. They are generally associated with the appearance off a ghost or other spiritual entity, and in this context it's showing his state of mind. Between his exhaustion from the fight, trauma from both fighting the puppet demon slayers and almost getting melted, as well as fear of the Hashira he feels half dead.
What I like Kocho's voice acting (in both dubbed and subbed) is that when she's feigning that kind, friendly attitude it really comes off insincere; to point of sounding sarcastic at times (especially during her interactions with Giyu). So in moments like when she was saying goodbye to Rengoku, you really tell when she's showing her true feelings.
Aoi and the Butterfly make such great supporting characters. Aoi's a ton of fun with how she doesn't put up with ANY of Zenitsu and Inosuke's crap. 😅 Meanwhile, Kiyo (red), Sumi (blue), and Naho (green) are JUST THE CUTEST. 🥰 It's so endearing seeing them be so supprtive of Tanjiro and his friends in their training.
Total Concentration Constant, as is the official name, is a very good power jump, because of its mechanics. When Tanjiro uses his Water Breathing Forms, he's clearly much stronger. He can cut boulders in two and even chop through super strong demon skin and more. Total Concentration Constant is simply taking that brief boost in power, and making that his new BASELINE. Once he figures out Constant, his normal sword swings will be strong enough to kill the demons he's slain already, and his Water Breathing Forms will be much stronger themselves.

For some context Aoi is a member of the Demon Slayer Corps but couldn't muster up the courage to actually fight, while the 3 girls are orphans (who are also unrelated despite looking like triplets). All four of them preform chores in exchange for shelter.
I’d say the part about Aoi not being able to bring herself to fight is a spoiler, but the little girls being orphaned and just support staff really shouldn’t matter so much. That said, Aoi comes out about her cowardice in (I believe) the next episode, so you couldn’t call it a spoiler here because they’ve certainly already watched it by the time this aired on YT.

Kenny, really liked your take during the first discussion. I would definitely say that Demon Slayer is a new classic, if you know what I mean, it's got the classic tropes, takes place in Japan, lots of good colours and characters with the eccentric hair styles with no explanation, training arcs, so on...if I was to introduce someone to anime and anime culture, I would start with Demon Slayer, I'd think.

like I know I'm used to either subbed or the always excellent PT-BR dub, but wooow is the english dub terrible oof. 0 emotion, 0 naturallity. I'm not a sub snob or anything, but there's something about english dubs specifically that irks me
