I finished Wuthering Heights yesterday and I can already tell it is one of those stories that will stay with me and haunt me for a long long time (especially after watching the 2009 adaptation and -- whatever my issues with it -- having Tom Hardy to imagine as Heathcliff now.) The Brontes had a talent for passion and intensity like no other. I grew up reading, watching, and loving Jane Eyre, and I was happy to find that Wuthering Heights delivered on the same type of romance -- brutal, dark, wrenching, hopeless, yet at the same time more romantic and rapturous than any fairytale.
The best one, in my humble opinion is the original version with Lawrence Olivier (his Heathcliff is so dark and controlled) I still get giddy seeing him, also Timothy Dalton's version (1980s I think, he also did Jane Eyre and it's my fave!).
I'm currently reading it, thank you for preparing this playlist! I like that there are people like me who also believe that books should have related songs/ melodies, hehe
I love the theme of this playlist and the pieces you chose! I'm going to read Wuthering Heights over Christmas, so this video is saved in my reading playlist :)
I'm on page 40 now. I don't understand much since i'm not a native English speaker. But i'm slowly understanding more. I will listen to this while reading ❤️❤️
Love this! I`m reading Wuthering heights for the first time ever and I am in the part where Catherine marries Edgar and the music really built up the tension and evolved my imagination. Truly appreciate it💖
I'm currently reading it, I was looking for a good playlist for it and yours was perfect! Thank you so much, you made my reading more chill and enjoyable 🥰
Thank you so much for this!! Just started Wuthering Heights and I always spend so much time trying to find the perfect songs to listen to while I'm reading For once it won't be necessary 🖤
it might be a little confusing at first but it’ll get really easy after 5 chapters. i highly recommend reading it. i had the book since i was in sixth grade and couldn’t read it because i found it hard, i tried plenty of times to read it throughout the years but i just felt like it was boring and useless. now i’m in 11th grade and i felt so disappointed because i didn’t read it sooner and it hurt my heart to think that i would have missed out on that book. it’s so beautiful, the dark imperfect characters, the scenery, the perspective, the writing style, the author herself, the beginning, the ending, everything. it’s a ghost story filled with regret. and you can tell how unhappy and dark the author were throughout the characters and the setting itself. read it while you can don’t miss out on the experience no one should die without experiencing this book. it means the whole universe and the stars to me. i hope it does the same for you.
I am currently reading Wuthering Heights and I just found this, I am so glad, this is perfect
Im so glad you liked it! Im currently working on part 2 and 3 ❤💫

Hey I wanted to ask if this is a book that a beginner can read?
