Being from Houston, TX + former Diamond Club staff w/ 2 rings WS + ALCS @ Minute Maid Park (You know who I rooting for) Fiesta IS amazing. Hard to believe it's 30 yrs. old already. Pennsylvania has a lot of "old classics". A very fun state for coasters & tradition.
Didn't realize how similar these parks were in ride selection. Hershey park is a great park. Happy you picked Hershey over Dorney. It actually made it a contest. Definitely good video for comparison with major sporting events. I remember the bet between six flags great America and cedar point. Top thrill Cubby. Chicago over Cleveland.
it would be cool to see a series talking about how each park compares to the rest of the industry, pointing out unique things on each one. This would make people see how different their home park might be from the rest of the country, as well as give reasons to visit certain parks
Both parks are ranked high on my bucket-list of parks but I think I'd have to give Fiesta higher priority on that list. Largely due to Sea World being near by, but also because I love parks that take pride in their landscaping. Granted, I could sell a Hershey Park visit to my wife a lot easier than a Texas road trip, but that's my own issue.
If only Six Flags AstroWorld still existed so it could be represented in a park battle video based on a championship series that features the actual Houston Astros. Additionally, while Dorney Park and Six Flags Great Adventure aren’t as far from Philadelphia as Hersheypark is, I understand why you picked that park so that there is a better comparison to Six Flags Fiesta Texas with how far that park is from Houston. The only other time it would make sense to showcase that park would be whenever the San Antonio Spurs reach the NBA Finals but I don’t think that will happen again for a long time. If the Bills reach the Super Bowl, I’d love to see Six Flags Darien Lake in a park battle video even though they’d more than likely lose since it can’t stack up to a ton of parks in other parts of the country.
@@AirtimeThrills Good points to make. Another scenario could be a Super Bowl matchup between Buffalo and Washington in which you feature Six Flags Darien Lake against Six Flags America since those parks are essentially on the same level but the problem is Washington appears unlikely to reach the Super Bowl this season or any season in the near future barring a ton of changes.

Don’t know if this has been mentioned, but have you thought about doing a similar video but with the World Cup teams and what is the best we coaster in each country
A bit of a weird comparo but it would be fun to compare Dorney to AstroWorld right before its closure. For me (in Philly) Dorney is the closest park by a hair, and it's def not the best Cedar Fair park, but it does have 15 years of advancement on AstroWorld. I think it could be close.
I agree with most of your choices. I would put SkyRush over Wonder Women, and I would put Pandemonium over Laff Trakk. Hershey Park is the slightly better park despite the strange part of the lay-out around the water park. RMC Wildcat will give it a solid edge. Hershey is a borderline Top 5 park for me. Fiesta is a borderline Top 10 park for me.

The closest parks with rollercoasters to Houston is the Kemah Boardwalk (Boardwalk Bullet) and the Galveston Pleasure Pier (Iron shark). Fiesta Texas is a 3-hour drive from Houston. I miss Astroworld.
The Phillies should get an extra point for having 4 major parks (Great Adventure, Dorney, Knobels and Hershey) in the same radius as the drive from Minute Maid Park to Fiesta Texas.

Fiesta Texas is my home park so I am definitely bias but even with 2 RMCs I would easily give the edge to Hershey Park, Hershey is a reliable 7th inning win with Fiesta needing to fight down to the wire.
Maaaannnnn I enjoy your videos even if i dont always agree with your takes but.... when the closest of the "home" parks is more than 90 min away yet still only half the distance as the other is? I mean Over Texas is only 1 hr further from Houston 😂, San Antonio is that far
I feel like it would be better do gadv since most ppl who visit gadv r more likely to be from Philly than hershey since it’s closer, but I understand great video as always
Category: Fast Lane merge points. The major coaster merge points at Hersheypark are awful except for Fahrenheit. All the merge points at Fiesta Texas are outstanding (station waits or less) except for Poltergeist. With a Flash Pass, Fiesta Texas is a far more enjoyable park.
Hate to be more geographically correct (No I don’t I love this), but Great Adventure is nearly twice as close to Citizens Bank Park as Hershey is, at 41 miles to SFGAdv and 80 miles to Hershey. In fact, Phillies are not the closest MLB team to Hersheypark, the Orioles are, by 10 miles.
True, but if a NY team made the World Series they would've got Great Adventure, so from that angle it makes more sense to give Philly a different park. Of course, there's Dorney, but that would have made for a less interesting battle.
The Phillies have two former Cubs, Schwarber and Castellanos. Astros only have Dusty Baker. Go Phillies.

7-6, Astros win. I know, I allowed Texas Tornado to give Astroworld the win, even though it rarely operated, and I didn't ride it. But that's an obvious call for my tastes, and that ride looked so insane, it deserves to get them a point.
@@CNSPORTZEDITZ agreed
Both parks look really cool. Got some really Great looking rides. Nope, not a fan of baseball. Enjoyed the video.
I’m not much of a sports fan but I am happy for my home team (Phillies) for making it to the World Series. As I’ve never seen them even get close to that point
My home team too!
Are you under 14 years old?
@@Posirep no
@@coasterboss1654 well, they won the world series in 2008
@@Posirep I was like 3 I wouldn’t have remembered
One is a juggernaut and the other is fiesta Texas
Never been to either park, but hope to get to Hershey soon after the RMC Wildcat is done.
Fiesta Texas is my home park so I am definitely bias but even with 2 RMCs I would easily give the edge to Hershey Park, Hershey is a reliable 7th inning win with Fiesta needing to fight down to the wire.
Best crossover of all time
Little does he know that the Astros somehow one 4-1.
I said astros in 6 and unfortunately that was right
Maaaannnnn I enjoy your videos even if i dont always agree with your takes but.... when the closest of the "home" parks is more than 90 min away yet still only half the distance as the other is? I mean Over Texas is only 1 hr further from Houston 😂, San Antonio is that far
Fiesta seems to be a nicer park but I would rather see phili win the WS...so we will wait and see
I feel like it would be better do gadv since most ppl who visit gadv r more likely to be from Philly than hershey since it’s closer, but I understand great video as always
I HAVE BEEN WAITING!!!
i love the new intro
Category: Fast Lane merge points. The major coaster merge points at Hersheypark are awful except for Fahrenheit. All the merge points at Fiesta Texas are outstanding (station waits or less) except for Poltergeist. With a Flash Pass, Fiesta Texas is a far more enjoyable park.
Never used fast lane at hershey but that sucks. I hate when they screw you over with the merge points
Oh, of course Chris picks Wonder Woman over Skyrush
It was inevitable
Love Hershey but they aren’t expanding quick enough for attendance that seems to be going up each year, that place gets slamed.
They should take the six flags approach and scare off half their customers
ngl fiesta texas should get an extra point on the waterpark since ITS IN TEXAS
this is epic... idc for baseball but this is really cool
Definitely should of considered food because Hershey has a some amazing desserts. But ngl I'm happy Hershey pulled it off.
But SFFT has jack and frozen coke sooo
@@AirtimeThrills bbbbbuuuuuttttt, there's a reason it's called "The sweetest place on earth". 🤣🤣
Darkrides aren't flatrides you know, they're... darkrides.
Can you do another video like this? Maybe a series like this? This is super interesting.
Ive done 4 park battles based on MLB, NFL, and NBA. whenever a matchup lends to an interesting matchup i gotta do it
i love the intro
AWESOME NEW INTRO DUDE
God I love this channel
Would have been interesting to look at astroworld’s lineup
Six flags really did Astroworld dirty in the 90s and early 2000s. Everyone was getting so much during that time and Astroworld pretty much nada
I think I prefer SFFT overall but the battle I really wanted to see was sesame place vs pleasure pier and/or Kemah boardwalk!
That would be the truest park battle
Hate to be more geographically correct (No I don’t I love this), but Great Adventure is nearly twice as close to Citizens Bank Park as Hershey is, at 41 miles to SFGAdv and 80 miles to Hershey. In fact, Phillies are not the closest MLB team to Hersheypark, the Orioles are, by 10 miles.
True, but if a NY team made the World Series they would've got Great Adventure, so from that angle it makes more sense to give Philly a different park. Of course, there's Dorney, but that would have made for a less interesting battle.
GO PHILLIES Hershey is one of my two home parks there and Dorney
The Phillies park is arguably dorney lol
Love your vids! Keep up the good work!
Haven't seen the video yet but I'm already betting Hersheypark
Edit: I was right, but at the end of the day they both look amazing
