Been 12 years since I last visited Inners. All my riding palls are now retired but im still going strong. But it's hard when it's only you to keep motivated. You inspiring me to make the long journey back to rip up them flow trails. Planning a trip tonight a little corona vacation ^^ thanks for sharing mate.
Thanks Lew. Dying to get back out on our trails. I'm in Las Vegas and we have great local trails, but Big Bear is just a few hours away and they will be opening soon. That's the favorite spot for my son and I. Party Wave, Westridge, Miracle Mile, Turtle. Just loads of fun. Thanks for helping those of us who can't hit the trails right now to enjoy seeing some riding. And yes, the goggles are dope.
Awesome! Hey no worries. Unfortunately we can’t ride here due to the trails being shut also. But happy I filmed this a while back and can’t put it out for us all to enjoy and what we have to look forward to when we can all return to riding! Stay safe to you and your family!
Been riding a mountain bike since October last year and it geniunely boggles my mind that someone can ride this fast whilst maintaining control of the bike.. very impressive
Conditions look prime, rode some of those a couple of days before lockdown and they were still soaking wet and muddy, looks weird though with car park being totally empty and no other riders about. Your lucky to be able to use these for your daily exercise!
😁😎wow. Caught your vid while doing some research. Me and my better half are coming up to the Tweed Valley for a few days in June. First time at Innerleithen/ Glentress 😁 Really looking forward too it. Will be going at about 1/50th your speed 😆😆 Will try not too get in the way of the fast peeps 😁
Thanks for that. I'm due to come up for the first time ever on the 30th May. Now I know that I'll be okay as these trails would be perfect for my limited skill set. Thanks for the video. Some smoooooooooth riding there
Inners is looking good, nice to see they are getting on with developing some new runs. One thing I do wish though is that they would look at some jump lines ala Revs or BPW. We need some in Scotlando!
Sick video. Cant wait to return to innerleithen once this is all over to ride. I came up earlier this year and was blown away by the riding available, so much so that I'm currently looking to live and work there purely to have the riding on my doorstep.
Go for it man. I moved to Peebles for the same reason. Living here is an absolute dream. Stunning scenery, epic riding and still relatively close to Edinburgh etc.
Love Angry Sheep, Trail with No Name and Jane's Lane. Certainly can't ride them as fast as you though! Only started to get that high line on Jane's Lane over the past 6 months or so but can't get it all the time. Still can't get that tight left hander over the root that you said you did an endo on though. Any advice on that corner of doom for us mere mortals?
Looks like you've got a great trail system over there, would love to ride those. Excellent video bro. I like either or... It's dry and wet were I live so I have adapted.
Angry Sheep is the trail top of my list of trails to ride. Hopefully this Summer. As for the vid Mate bloody good riding and the talk through is superb for us mere mortals on how you set yourself up for different sections. The speed is on a different level. One day hopefully i'll bump into you somewhere and you can give this old man a few pointers! Top job. 👍
Trails look in mint condition running sweat. Not ridden much at Innerleithen only the last trail but will be heading there when this has all settled down. Keep up the good work look forward to your videos each week. You make it look so easy 🤟🤟😂
Yep great trails love Angry sheep, haven't got round to doing Angry bird yet but it's on the radar, can't wait, it must be hard being a pro rider at present, you are doing a great job trying to entertaining us though, so keep it up cheers.
Another great Vid and I cant wait to get back to Inners after the Lockdown . I prefer Winter conditions to ride but Summer conditions for not having to clean bike and kit after every ride !
@@LewisBuchanan obviously you ride for a living and race etc so when the lockdown ends your riding time might be taken up with work but it would be great if you ever get a chance to do some videos abroad...ie la Thuile, Samoens ,the off piste stuff in Morzine and some truly terrifying trails in a place called La Grave .
Although I know I already watched the footage of the first two tracks, I still enjoyed the whole vid! Nice one, was fast enough! For me it is definitely wet conditions as the trail were I ride are always very dry and when it is wet it is perfect, but now after only a little time with no rain, it is so dry you have to be careful to not wash your frontwheel out!!! I will never understand the weather in The Netherlands......
@@LewisBuchanan Update! My hometrails are closed because of the drought….. It is so dry already that there is a possibility that the trails get damaged by the riding and in another nature area close to us was Netherland´s biggest wildfire ever a few days ago, so I think they are preventing it in this area! I think it is a good decision, also because it is so busy there right now as everyone goes to the trails (we have holidays now)
Nice I really miss these trails Only ever done angry sheep x1 Always do the red up to minch moor worth it for the descent Is trail without a name just further up the same road from angry sheep? Prefer dry trails if there's a choice but monsoons are also available "it is Scotland after all" :-D
Sick trails, would love to ride them, went to my local for the first time in ages the other day and loads of walkers on the track, all the lockdown idiots were out with no clue
Thanks. Hmm I would say a medium. I am 5,11 and a large. But I mean depends. I wish i could help more man! Large does feel nice though and I wouldn’t drop down to a medium!
this is both the best and worse time to break a bone! best because we're all supposed to stay inside anyways but the worst because if you need or needed a hospital, it might be hard to find one that can help you
Awesome trails bro!! Your so blessed to have that in your backyard!! Love it when the conditions are dry and i don't have to wash my bike afterwards. Hows your bike holding up?? Are you still super stoked with it? Do you notice any downsides to the 130mm of travel on the backend yet??
I really like dry conditions but when it isnt ike dusty, i need a bit more grip. At the moment here in Germany its way to dry and you´re slipping and sliding a lot when you aren´t carefull. It hasn´t rained for over a month now, its damn loose. And aslo after one ride your bike is very dusty and aou have to clean it anyways. I
Are they enforcing the no ride rule over there? Been pretty lucky in the northeastern US in that almost everywhere is still open to ride... for now at least.
Um the forestry company here shut the trails around Scotland that they own that are official middle of last month. So official tracks are closed yes. I’ve not rode trails in weeks 😭
Lewis, can you please give me some filming and editing tips cause I really enjoy your content and your editing skills are sick, and could you please check out my laggan wolftrax Vlog #1 on my channel, and tell me if my editing is alright on it?

Dude I couldn’t agree more. A couple jump flow lines here like revs etc would complete it 😍
Would you do a video on cleaning the bike please? Handy to see the way you do it, probably give people a good few new tips
Had the pleasure of Dougie showing us all of these when I was up at Inners with Specialized, some epic lines even with a camera bag full of kit on!
Rad Chris! You media lads are flat out with those bags on haha
Lewis Buchanan hard not to be when you’re fully loaded 😂.

This makes me feel lucky not to have private trails because they can’t close my local trails. Sick video anyway.
Lucky dude! Cheers
Those are your trails.

Don't know if you have a video about braking/braking points, but it would be interesting to hear your take on it.
Thanks for the videos!
