    ACUiTY's Super-Cooler, Reverse-Flow Silicone Radiator Hoses can help your FK8 to run cooler while using superior materials to help better deal with increased underhood temperatures. By reversing water flow through the radiator, these hoses actually help your FK8 to cool itself more efficiently.
    While investigating the overheating issue that affects FK8's in hot conditions, ACUiTY engineers determined that the radiator can reject more heat if the water flow through it is reversed. This is due to how the intercooler rejects heat from charge air and how that heat flows through the lower part of the radiator. In very hot conditions on cars that also have upgrades like hood venting and an upgraded radiator, water temps were reduced by as much as an additional 4.5°F (2.5°C) after installing these hoses. On totally stock cars, temperature reduction is lower, close to 1°F (0.6°C) in hot conditions. In addition to this extra cooling power, the polyester-reinforced silicone construction helps the hoses to handle up to 100F hotter temperatures than the stock EPDM rubber hoses. As an added benefit, the kit includes German-style hose clamps that have formed threads and rolled edges to help protect your radiator hoses from the cutting damage that traditional hose clamps often cause on silicone hoses. Each set comes with 2 silicone radiator hoses and 4 German-style hose clamps.

    cool detailed video , i have installed them on my 2020 CTR with an aftermarket radiator (koyorad) but now the 2 pipes is always touching each other is that ok ?

      Minor contact shouldn't be a problem, but you may be able to resolve it easily by loosening the clamp on one end of each of the hoses slightly and twisting them. When installed, normally they should have a very slight gap between them in areas where they cross, but that is with all OEM intake components and radiator, so it's possible some aftermarket parts may cause them to be routed very slightly differently. Nonetheless, minor contact shouldn't cause you long-term issues.

    Can you recommend a specific coolant brand when refilling?

    • @rgareh1
      @rgareh1 3 года назад

      OE Honda Coolant is always a safe bet, but generally you just need to make sure you get something that's compatible with an aluminum block (normally these variants are marketed as being for Asian vehicles when sold as generics at most chain auto stores).

    what's the difference with oem and acuity and how do it perform better or cooling?

    do you not need to turn the temperature of the car to full HOT when purging air from the radiator system using the 2nd method?

    • @ACUiTYinstruments
      @ACUiTYinstruments  3 года назад

      No you do not👍. The second method follows steps stimilar to Honda's recommended coolant fill procedures, where the entire air conditioning system remains off while the engine is running to purge air bubbles into the expansion tank.

    can i use aquity radiator hoses with aftermarket intercooler?

    • @ACUiTYinstruments
      @ACUiTYinstruments  3 года назад

      Hey! Just want to make sure you mean aftermarket radiator instead of intercooler? If so, yes our radiator hoses fit aftermarket radiators 👍.

    • @rgareh1
      @rgareh1 3 года назад

      Also, just to add to what @acuityinstruments posted, we are not aware of any intercooler that creates any fitment issues with these radiator hoses.

    • @benrusle
      @benrusle 3 года назад

      so its meant that this hoses is design perfectly only for stock intercoler and radiator only right?

    • @rgareh1
      @rgareh1 3 года назад

      @@benrusle Incorrect. These hoses are compatible with aftermarket radiators designed for the FK8. Aftermarket intercoolers do not change the radiator position, so that is not a problem either.

    No FC1? 😩

    • @rgareh1
      @rgareh1 2 года назад

      FC1s use a horizontal-flow rad that is thermally aligned with the intercooler better. There would be no net gain from reversing radiator flow on an FC1.

    • @SoteroA
      @SoteroA 2 года назад

      @@rgareh1 perfect thanks, so basically changing the hoses to silicone could be considered a cosmetic thing on the FC right?

    This seems so confusing lol - how much would it cost for a professional install. It's like too much work for such a similar piece...

    • @rgareh1
      @rgareh1 3 года назад

      It's the same effort as installing another set of OEM hoses. So the fee to install these or another set of OEM hoses would be the same. We don't perform installs though, so unfortunately we cannot provide an estimate.
