If you had to face flesh eating FRENCH vampires what would you do? You’ll need to confront your mother’s bloodthirsty killer, terrifying creatures of the night and hordes of undead in order to stop an Egyptian vampire god! I’m going to break down the mistakes made, what you should do, and how to beat the VAMPIRE MESSIAH in Castlevania Nocturne.

Here's how you really beat it.
1) Emotionally compromised = you're not going on a potentially fatal mission. We're already running the risk of getting game-ended as it is, but if you lose your shit and blow our cover, or run away because what you see gives you PTSD flashbacks to that one time in 'Nam, we will DEFINITELY get killed. This is what happened to Ed because of Annette, and almost everyone else when Richter saw Olrox.
2) If you know someone is allied with the vampires, don't trust them, and definitely don't go see them ALONE. Maria. If you must go see them, lure them out into a more advantageous position for the team, and do away with them. They've sold us upriver for their own self-interest, so it's morally A-Okay to put an end to them and their schemes.
3) In fact, let's just make this officially a step: THE BUDDY SYSTEM! Don't go anywhere alone. Don't run off to fight this guy, or see that guy. Stay with the group. You have nothing that needs proving that can't wait until this vampire killing business is in very distant in the rearview, and you going full gung-ho fucks up all of our plans, which require precision, coordination, and- you guessed it - the full team. If you must go anywhere, let people know where you are going, what you intend to do, and bring a friend to help you. Annette, Richter, Maria, looking at you guys. Stop running off.
4) If #3 contradicts #1, find a replacement for that guy. They're not suddenly okay for deployment because they have the rest of the team around. They can deal with their trauma while you take care of the vampires trying to reenact Volkihar's quest line from Skyrim. Sure, they might resent being told to sit this one out, but there will be other vampires and demons- which they can't slay if they're dead, or the world has ended.
5) If you use summons, birds and tigers are nice. Very solid choices all around. But have you considered ghosts, devils, or faeries? Don't be afraid to expand your repertoire to include other mythical creatures. Nothing is cooler than having a vampire get staked by a unicorn.
Actual facts
If they do the buddy system, here are the teams that I’d wanna see:
-Richter & Annette
-Alucard & Maria
-Mizrak & Olrox
You got one who’s on offense doing close combat (Richter, Alucard, and Mizrak) while you got the other on defense shooting magic/projectiles (Annette, Maria, and Olrox)
Summon Joseph, he is the best vampire hunter. He was able to even defeat the strongest vampire of all time. Well, at least 1939 Joseph, because Joseph once he becomes old is not as great of a vampire hunter, though that is understandable due to the new existence of stands, along with him being a very much old man. But in that universe, I don't think stands exist, so 1939 Joseph should be able to defeat the vampires with quite a bit of ease.

@ivel1osthat’s your opinion, it’s still godly but wasn’t AS GODLY as the original.
Honestly… after watching Nocturne I felt the same thing, but then I rewatched the first castlevania show, and then nocturne again and I really don’t see an issue with it. Being nitpicky , both shows take place in different locations, Romania and France respectively. Plus, it usually comes down to people disliking Richters British accent. Other than that I think Olrox, Maria, Annette, the Abbet and especially Edouard all sound fantastic, on par with the original and surpassing for a few.
@ivel1os again, your opinion. & the only strictly evil one was drolta. the only thing we know about sekhement is that she’s a sadist, there could be more to her character. not to mention this story takes place 400 years after the original so to have a villain similar to the first one after 400 years would’ve been repetitive.

Annette’s story isn’t just that she is last surviving of a witch family. She was enslaved in the Dominican Republic by French vampire aristocrat. Edourd helped her and the other people who were enslaved escape after a revolution against the slavers. Kinda weird that you made fun of it going “boohoo” without really explaining. But go on I guess

Honestly, Elizabeth & her army make Sunako & her crew from Shiki, look like embarrassments to them. Despite the Shiki being that easy to killed without any training or help from Hell, while knowing that they’re not evil. Just misunderstood, while looking out for each other.
