So I am a Limassol tour guide. The place opposite City Hall is not a parliament building, it's the headquarters building of Cyprus University, TEPAK! Also the 'old ruins ' are actually a 16 th century mosque built by the Ottomans on top of a Byzantine(Christian) church of the 10 th century! No charge for the information 😊

Tragic what has happened to Limassol.I lived there in the 80/90's when it was unspoilt,natural and perfect.. Why do we humans continue to destroy such places? All in the name of so called progress!!😢

Last year lots of restoration of several old buildings begun in die Old City. But lots of the building fabric is destroyed forever.
