  • It's time to worm my Lowline Angus (American Aberdeen) cattle. I didn't have much of a plan for working my cattle, it was thrown together at the last minute. I do not have "proper" handling facilities, nor do I have a squeeze chute. Sometimes, small scale farms just have to get by with what they have.

A few at a time worked well. 😀They seemed to get spooked when all in the small area.
I'm glad you have old panels. Keep them painted because the new panels are junk.
There's a harmless marking paint for livestock in bright colors. Temporary in Green, orange, etc.. Mark as you treat so you can easily see who's done.👍-KJ

You know, I actually have a package of paint sticks that I use to mark the pigs. I wish I had thought of those 🤦‍♂️

I worm my cattle with liquid Ivermectin. I pour it into a handheld sprayer and simply spray their back with a good dose. You can open the nozzle to allow a stronger stream and will allow it to spray farther if needed

That's a good idea. I'll have to remember that

When you do this again you can put small can or plastic bottle on the of pole so you don’t have to get so close to the cow 18:12 18:16
