I consider them mostly equal. I have way more happy memories with TK, but I got burned out around Forsaken. Still thought it was great though. Both raids were amazing. I did enjoy the dreaming city more than the dreadnaught though.
Could you guys talk about D1's armor being better than D2's again. I really wish this was more of a wider issue that the community talked about. Bungie needs to do something about it
I so want to scream loudly at things like this at times. Less so on here but cheering on the reversal of a poorly delivered change yet no solution to the problems needed to be addressed. The nostalgia trip that was only really remembered by a small number of people who raided back in the day. The new lights or those who joined after D2 dropped have no idea of wtaf is being talked about. Pvp is poor not because its old, it is because it filled with blocking toxic immature types who believe they have a right to dictate the game for everyone else. Trials shows this in a way that could be described as steroidal entitled toxicity. Sivu Arath and Savathun need to obliterate the city and our vaults and start again from scratch as we join with the cabal, the fallen and the awoken as a migratory mass fleet chasing the traveller across the galaxy
The one thing that I love about this is that it feels nice and intimate just bewtween 2 people. Nice back and forth and no interrupting. It's a nice change of pace.
Could easily be possible as if you have read the dark timeline, Eris morn overpowers savathun and becomes the main antagonist and destroys the guardians
Vog is everything you guys said it was. Except that its the second greatest raid bungie has made. To say that its easily better than wrath of the machine is outrageous. Not gonna suggest anyone switch to this cause its REALLY expensive (well, I think $150 at minimum is expensive) but a riju or scuff controller can do almost everything one can on a mouse and keyboard except match DPI. It's not always been fall. Beyond Light was delayed until winter. Shadowkeep was October, which was already pushing it. If you're surprised about the Witch Queen delay, I'm worried about you.
I don't imagine they'll be pushing into a spring release. Witch Queen was most likely targeted for a December relases, given that BL was only gonna have 4 seasons (that's a year). They said they were pushing it backa couple of months. I'd expect January or February. Maybe March, but that's still not quite spring.
i hope in witch queen, everyone is involved (hawthorne, devrim, sloane, shaxx, ana etc) so we can get a dynamic, CINEMATIC campaign like the red war. we need more character development, understanding and relationshhips. kinda like infinity war, i think that we should lose at the end of the campaign. savathun lives and is part of lightfall campaign, we defeat xivu arath in the witch queen raid. then like endgame, we get a MASSIVE battle between and dark. savathun should be one of the final encounters of the campaign, but then we should fight the pyramids inside the pyramids for the raid
I mean, I’m not happy to wait until 2022 until witch queen. Is literally more than a year without a proper expansion. VoG could work but I don’t think is going to feel as an actual expansion, just like a treat until witch queen comes...
Just a stroll back to destiny 1, you could get max light from Iron Banner during the Dark below. Cause during the longest time Iron Banner didn't introduce the Helmet for all classes, and when they did it was the only time it was available. As for the VoG, I wonder if they will bring in wyverns into the mix. That would make things a little interesting to face. They did bring in those mechs from Europa into the devil's lair strike where you fight the spider tank.
You know what'd be the best way to completely undo Sunsetting? Remove Power. Just drop it. It serves no purpose. It's just a way of time-gating content that gets less and less relevant every single season as they reduce the amount the cap increases. Imagine taking your perfect anti-barrier Scout, putting it your vault at the end of the season, and then in two seasons when anti-barrier scout comes back around, pulling it out of your vault good as new. You don't have to get another drop to feed to it. You don't have to worry about your artifact resetting and not being able to do content you just did last week. Think of the weight THAT would remove. Have the grind be about the thing it's already basically about: Finding that perfect roll.
I would love to see you guys talk about the current probably soon to be patched bug of 12 man teams in various activities; yesterday my small clan banded together with another small clan and we did a 12 Man divinity run for 5 people, where we had to adapt to the mechanics that were not designed for 12 people, we had the most fun time we've ever had, from there we did a deep stone crypt and Last wish. I admit, while having 12 people does trivialize combat and certain encounters, but the sole volume of players working together in a single activity elevates the feel of Destiny being an "MMO"esk into the skies. I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks having an actual pve 12 man activity would be amazing.
As much as I appreciate those the play PVP. When doing missions for Exotics, what are your thoughts on having PVE alternatives to PVP tasks? So you don't have to feel like fodder for the PVP sweats just to unlock a level on an exotic. These tasks would work better as story-based narratives to increase the lore of the weapon, rather than now you have to pew against guardians to calibrate it. (That said this would also the same alternative to those the prefer PVP).
The only thing I wish they’d take into consideration with cross play is adding keyboard and mouse support to console. If they did that I would 100% swap to PS5
I'm glad sunsetting is gone for everyone who didn't like it. But I don't understand how people say they want to grind loot more. Personally I want to do it less as it will last until the end of time. For the next 4-5 years or however long D2 lasts I NEVER have to get a 120 hand cannon, because there is 0 reason to. Same could be said for a high impact pulse, or an aggressive shotgun, or my armor. I don't have to get a single piece of armor for the rest of time. People always tell me, oh that's your fault not the destiny's. But why would I ever grind for something that is worse than I have. I hope their new method of changing the meta is one everyone likes.
I love these podcasts keep up the good work guys!! I just started playing destiny 2 again after a break and having u guys in the background has been wonderful. More of this please :)
I'm sure d2 players are waiting eagerly for the witch queen but I'm sure Eris is even more excited for witch queen I don't want to think like this, but I think someone might die in witch queen and we will confront a loss because of that and so we will strike back at savathun later on, so savathun might not die in witch queen savathun has been hyped af like oryx or even more, now I want our encounter with savathun to be epic, its hard to imagine how that encounter might be cuz as we know how cunning savathun is so I'm excited.... also, Bungie take your time on savathun and make it awesome, plz don't make it like savathun has 3-4 main combatants under her so kill them first then you can fight savathun
no one ever wants to address the state of titans, I can slide 30m and shatter stasis or insta freeze you, I can fly around and punch people into walls and off the map, all the light subclasses melees one shot, I rocket a titan barricade and it doesn't break with a high impact frame, they can suppress your super with a fucking grenade that suppresses you for stupid long, they generally get around quicker than hunters, a tank class, is faster that mobility class 🤦🏾♂️ notice how titans almost never get nerfed but are the most horrible class to play against in the game, that just begins the list of how overturned titans are, but because 90% of you content creators main titans, you don't say anything, this a prime example of, if it doesn't impact you negatively I don't want to address it
Obviously buffs and nerfs might be needed for underperforming or overperforming aspects of the game, but I think the seasonal mods do enough at keeping the PvE sandbox fresh. Who would've thought that the dps meta would include almost blowing yourself up with a grenade to get bonus super damage with thunderstrike while a hunter throws a dusk field on the boss and shoots them in the face from a distance to get a debuff?
you know what i don't miss from D1? the lfg post that required me to have a certain exotic rocket that i couldn't get, which in turn meant i couldn't play about 20% of the content. great game but the rng was brutal to me.
the learning curve, the one i was taught: 500 Hours: You're a dabbler 1000 Hours: You're learned 5000 Hours: You're skilled 10 000 hours: You are a master and 20 000+ Hours, you are Dedicated
New players will never know the grind. I'm sure you guys remember having to actually level your gear as well as your character. There was a time when you had to actually unlock perks.
Honestly witch queen being delayed was expected, and im not even upset. Id rather them delay it early and have more time for a more solid dlc than delay it last minute and rush. Id say thats a smart move by bungie

I think it would be a cool concept if we go to the vault of glass to maybe link rasputen to the vex network to improve his computer or something of we get something from there to rebuild him

Everyone always says forsaken was the best dlc and had the most amount of content. Personally I don't think it was better than the taken king. That dlc expanded on so much of the story and game, connected so many narratives, gave so many quests and secrets and just felt better all around. I would witch queen to be more like that
Taken King was the best narrative expansion because of the fact everything connects to the “Kill Oryx” narrative in some form or another.
Unknown, looks and sounds exactly like my cousin in England, who, coincidently also introduced me to destiny. crazy

Loving these creator chats man! Good vibes all around.
Eris will end up as the witchqueen!! (Plot twist)
That’s Eva Levante. The writing’s been on the wall for years.
Could easily be possible as if you have read the dark timeline, Eris morn overpowers savathun and becomes the main antagonist and destroys the guardians
It'd hardly be a plot twist given so many people expect it for some reason.
Destiny 1 RNG stories are the best, I’m still waiting to get my vision of confluence
I quickly want to say how much I appreciate your podcast - it's really one of the best out there!
Vog is everything you guys said it was. Except that its the second greatest raid bungie has made. To say that its easily better than wrath of the machine is outrageous. Vogs mechanics are archaic by comparison and its very redundant at times. It will always be great. But people really really lean hard on nostalgia for its ranking.
Your pfp says it all but fr though I think Siva is one of the coolest things bungie have shown especially that the warmind was taken over, they can honestly save the game by adding new enemies
I hope the enemy after the light/dark saga is Nezerak
Imagine a bungie vidoc in the summer gets cut off and a thrall bound in webs appears on screen and says with a crone-like voice:
"The delay? What delay?" followed by *crooked laughter*
what?
@@quenchthirster1417 Essentially, in one of the lore books Nokris goes to speak with Savathun and pleads his loyalty to her. As he's walking away he turns back to look at her and sees a thrall. The thrall was simply a mouthpiece that she used to deceive Nokris. And OP is basically just saying what if Savathun made a cameo during the vidoc to say that the delay was a lie. Or at least that's what I think they meant.
When sunsetting was sunset I just didn't know what to do. My entire plan for transmog was to get my Scuorge of the past armor back for my hunter and warlock, but now it's with me. My Gulitotine with 20k kills (I use swords like a 2nd energy weapon) will remain with me. My heritage first in last out. Everything is staying and suddenly that weight was lifted like I'm able to fly after years of being waist deep in mud.
When it comes to horrible raid luck. Anarchy one of my friends had seen myself and the rest of our clan get a grand total of 5 from me. 1 from our Warlock main who also suffered. 7 from our other multiclasser. 2 from our other Warlock. 1 from my fellow hunter. They never got it. Thankfully the exotic qeosc is a thing but man that was paunful
They're not unsunsetting old gear, that stays dead, its just what isn't already sunset that lives, so season of the worthy and forward lives.
@@mortimerbalbriggan9766 what I mean is that up till the day of the news everything I did was constantly accounting for Sunsetting weapon X goes away season Y which will be good for expansion z that's all it was with gear looking at when was it expired and would that point in time be worth a damn.
I only wish the pushed back the Sunsetting period back to Season of Dawn. I miss my Marty's!
All my masterworked armor is from season of the dawn lmao i had to get rid of it
You can get the new wave frame grenade launcher from wrathborn hunts and it can roll with similar perks or even better
@@helpz8708 My gripe with that one is that it doesn't work with Wrath of Rasputin, and was basically the one thing that worked the most consistently with it
@@helpz8708 it doesn't have auto loading with demo :/
@@mortimerbalbriggan9766 yeah I hate that as well because that’s the roll I used all the time I’ve just moved to blinding nades truthteller as my main grenade launcher
I want Destiny to start exploring the past- would love to play the battle of 6 fronts . Maybe they should do a Halo ODST and let players experience past events
1:05:10 there is a way to view shaders like that the full state of play that joe wrote out said that when you go to the screen where you choice what to transmog at ada-1 you can also view what shader looks the best from your list of shaders you own then see what they look like on those selected piece of armor.
I think they have just went above and beyond with these future updates its really going to change the way people do fashion and other things in the future.
Everytime I’m scripting something, I listen to this. I miss this!
I'll mention it here as well: the word "egregore" from the bulb buff in the Exotic Mission has some interesting implications.
I just got a god roll third axiom after around 150 strikes/ nfs..js..ff/ one for all with stability mw and corkscrew rifling..
These podcasts are really good, I am loving hearing about d2 topics while I do some Homework and studiyng
Always a pleasure to listen to you guys. More of this please 🤗. Have a great Sunday! ☀️
I feel like Caiatl knows what she is doing. Crow specifically mentions to Osiris in the end of The Cleansing battleground, that he things Caiatl is more cunning than her commander, and during this weeks Glycon Mission, Caiatl says that she has learned from the fall of titans, both her father, and Ghaul.
I'm wondering if she is using us to eliminate her most ambitious competition, who would align their forces against us if she were to work with us as equals.
Will any of you guys be commenting on the witch hunt of Say No To Rage and his subsequent banning from destiny?
Nah cause hes garbage

Considering they want to keep villains for a long time; isn't it possible that Savathun will die, but she won't be the main villain?
Not gonna suggest anyone switch to this cause its REALLY expensive (well, I think $150 at minimum is expensive) but a riju or scuff controller can do almost everything one can on a mouse and keyboard except match DPI. TBH before I had taken a year long hiatus from playing, I could match or outperform casual crucible players using M&K with my riju controller
"It's a problem now that everyone 3 peeks, it was okay when only I was doing it"
i hope in witch queen, everyone is involved (hawthorne, devrim, sloane, shaxx, ana etc) so we can get a dynamic, CINEMATIC campaign like the red war. we need more character development, understanding and relationshhips. kinda like infinity war, i think that we should lose at the end of the campaign. savathun lives and is part of lightfall campaign, we defeat xivu arath in the witch queen raid. then like endgame, we get a MASSIVE battle between and dark. savathun should be one of the final encounters of the campaign, but then we should fight the pyramids inside the pyramids for the raid
They need targeted loot, I’ve been hunting for a energy weapon for 2 weeks to complete my 310 run. Meanwhile I’m getting a shit to of arms.
I love these podcasts keep up the good work guys!! I just started playing destiny 2 again after a break and having u guys in the background has been wonderful. More of this please :)
I'm sure d2 players are waiting eagerly for the witch queen but I'm sure Eris is even more excited for witch queen
I don't want to think like this, but I think someone might die in witch queen and we will confront a loss because of that and so we will strike back at savathun later on, so savathun might not die in witch queen
savathun has been hyped af like oryx or even more, now I want our encounter with savathun to be epic, its hard to imagine how that encounter might be cuz as we know how cunning savathun is so I'm excited....
also, Bungie take your time on savathun and make it awesome, plz don't make it like savathun has 3-4 main combatants under her so kill them first then you can fight savathun
no one ever wants to address the state of titans, I can slide 30m and shatter stasis or insta freeze you, I can fly around and punch people into walls and off the map, all the light subclasses melees one shot, I rocket a titan barricade and it doesn't break with a high impact frame, they can suppress your super with a fucking grenade that suppresses you for stupid long, they generally get around quicker than hunters, a tank class, is faster that mobility class 🤦🏾♂️ notice how titans almost never get nerfed but are the most horrible class to play against in the game, that just begins the list of how overturned titans are, but because 90% of you content creators main titans, you don't say anything, this a prime example of, if it doesn't impact you negatively I don't want to address it
Obviously buffs and nerfs might be needed for underperforming or overperforming aspects of the game, but I think the seasonal mods do enough at keeping the PvE sandbox fresh. Who would've thought that the dps meta would include almost blowing yourself up with a grenade to get bonus super damage with thunderstrike while a hunter throws a dusk field on the boss and shoots them in the face from a distance to get a debuff?
you know what i don't miss from D1? the lfg post that required me to have a certain exotic rocket that i couldn't get, which in turn meant i couldn't play about 20% of the content. great game but the rng was brutal to me.
the learning curve, the one i was taught:
500 Hours: You're a dabbler
1000 Hours: You're learned
5000 Hours: You're skilled
10 000 hours: You are a master
and 20 000+ Hours, you are Dedicated
New players will never know the grind. I'm sure you guys remember having to actually level your gear as well as your character. There was a time when you had to actually unlock perks.
Not true, Im going to transmog every single peace of warlock armor I can get my hands on. It will be my misson and I will grind my a** off to do it ✌️
One thing people don't think about with th return of VoG....
Wyverns.
Honestly witch queen being delayed was expected, and im not even upset. Id rather them delay it early and have more time for a more solid dlc than delay it last minute and rush. Id say thats a smart move by bungie
Sunsetting going away was all I needed to hear to want to play the game again. I thoroughly enjoy having at least one go to gun for any scenario. Same for armor. I like having my build and sticking with it and not having to redo all that grinding for new stats.
hear me out, we kill the winnower in light fall, and then we go after the rest of the worm gods in the 2023 expansion and we finally defeat the darkness forever.
It’s about time they nerfed the other 2 stasis supers into oblivion bringing them inline with the warlock stasis
I got the mythic a class the first time I did vog and I did the whole raid with the last word the og y-09 Long bow and the Queens wrath Lmg
VOG won't be the same without elemental primaries. I don't want to see fatebringer in the second slot.
Anthem was one of those huge disappointments for me cause while I love the fantasy elements of destiny I really wanted something similar tjat was a more grounded sci fi then the review's came out and all hope for that was lost lol
It's a while not ha while I'm trying to figure what the whole family guy thing was when I came a while and hawhile it might be reasons like you people 😂😂
Actual banger podcast, love it mate
I assume that in light fall, we won’t destroy the black fleet fully, maybe just push them back as the light gets the chance to take the offense
4:30 - 4:46 roughly, about the legendary weapons being added. That kinda hype was there for the falling guillotine and such but the issue is all the new legendaries just feel reskinned rather than new fun weapons.
What's going to be a bad disadvantage though is that three people while it's bad it is also good especially against cheaters so it's going to make the PVP game little tougher
idk what is wrong with buying cosmetic by cash
as long as they have a free way to obtain it, then who care if u can rush it by silver
You can see your shaders in collections. Preview will show all your armor at one time even weapons
It’s been a while since a new episode, anything new coming up soon ? =)
I remember I needed only a chest piece for a whole month and I had 3 warlocks lmao. My luck was stupid bad back in VoG days.
