I give it an 10. Though the Protector does get a lot of flack and though it's not Jackie's best work, it was still entertaining and chock full of action. Remember staying up late to watch this on TBS and TNT when it came on and the stunts and fight scenes kept me on the edge of my seat. The massage parlour battle and this fight in the warehouse were two of my favorite action scenes (plus the chase through the boats on Hong Kong harbor was exhilarating too).

Meanwhile, Jackie edited and re-shot some scenes and released it for the Asian version and it became a hit internationally including in Europe. I saw both versions and the Asian version had better pacing and more of the Jackie Chan style flavor that we grew to love. You can actually see a comparison of the American and Asian cuts of the fight scenes here on YT.

I fought 6 guys in Palmyra Columbia and won , I'm a expert at Taekwondo and I attacked first I was never touched. Took 30 minutes to come down from the adrenaline. it took about 3 seconds . all jump kicks to the head the remaining 4 ran.
