Odin is gorgeous! LEGO was pretty good too. Seriously, worth the effort, great modifications. I'm sure raising it a brick was a pain, but it looks so much better with that done.
To solve the door problem, I would either swap out the door pin parts with window ones, or put a 1x4 or 1x3 tile on the stud for the handle and place it horizontally across the width of the door to try and make it look like a two glass window piece.
Raising the building up one brick doesn’t sound like much but it does make a difference. It adds to the realism and visual variety of the different areas of the zoo.
Thank you for the great inspiration for my own botanical garden. That tiled floor is brilliant and tips on how to make a realistic flower field. Can't wait to see your zoo grow 😁
Also, I saw your red panda videos first so I already saw the building in this state before seeing the first video where you introduced it, but the improvements definitely make it look much nicer. It was fine before but it looks like a lovely little conservatory now 💕
Not sure why I haven't seen this before now, but nevermind! The botanical garden is looking amazing, the little changes you've made really do make a difference and work!
Enjoying your channel. Love the way you built the Botanical Garden. I have just started exploring a build for the Botanical Garden set for my city and you have given me some great ideas! Thank You 😊
Nice video really makes a difference, looks much better than before. I would put minifigures in the building. And I would fill the pond with light, dark and dark green stones. And then tiles with blue compartment parts.
That’s a great idea, I need to sort through what blue plate I’ve got and see what I can do! I’m not sure when to add minifigures to the Zoo as there are none yet… I might do a video on the first visitors and staff placement at some point! Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I truely love your creativity. That water feature/pond area is looking great now, even unfinished. Once you get the trans-blues in there, and I assume a few more lily pads/flowers (I assume since they're so beautiful - and you simply must put a LEGO frog or three in there), it's gonna shine! I think the way you have the tiny koi tile is just the way it's supposed to be (that is to say NOT under any other piece). I'm not sure yet where you are with your building as I know I'm 2mos behind as I type this, nor which koi you have, but LEGO has three such pieces, each slightly different. Here are the Bricklink numbers if you care to check them out: 3069bpb0865, 3069bpb0866, 3069bpb1180. I also LOVE your dock and the way you mixed up the color and printing of the boards. Nice variety. You might try to find piece 98138pb042 to top your logs for a little more detail. Anyway, off to your next video, I am. :)
Found you by looking for Lego water ideas. Love your botanical garden, the tiled floor and changes are looking good! Agree with above just replace doors with windows… at least take handles off. It looks like it’s all starting to come together; but as with anything remember to just enjoy the process as nothing is truly ever finished! 🙏 ❤
Welcome to the channel! Thanks for your kind comment - definitely enjoying the process, it helps me continue when I hear this type of positive feedback! I will be searching through my inventory for some windows when I’m next in there! Thanks again 🙏🏻
@@ZooBricks I learned through being an artist that we can strive for perfection too much. It’s about enjoying it at every moment and not allow ourselves to get too bogged down 😊 looks great! and it’s made me want to buy more Lego rather than sell what we have 🤣 oops haha
@@radar_radar I know what you mean re perfection, I will try to remind myself that! Lego is amazing because you can just tear it apart and start again.. definitely buy more and enjoy it! 🤓🤓
Fantastic. Yep you did the right thing with the alterations. It's now a fantastic piece just on its own. Hope u got 2 sets to make a pr. Of pandas. 😊. No guinipig yet though. 😢
Hi Maxine! Some great inspiration for when I expand my original Botanical Gardens set (all the mini-dolls will go to other homes, after I swap any hair I'd like for my minifigs, with duplicates I already have!), although it won't be as impressive as yours, because I have neither the skills nor the room 😛 Subbed, and now I'm going to catch up from the beginning 👏☺️
The big pond; have you thought about mixing different shades of trand blue plates and tiles? It can help to give the idea of depth changes and movement in the water.
Also (because I have to type comments as I watch the video or I'll forget them) I look forward to seeing you and whatever you bring to Shildon and Bricktastic! Will these be your first shows as an exhibitor?
hey, I realized my earlier post might be considered as spam for I promoted a store site. ( for non commercial reasons) . I just want to say. I really like the video. and that there beautiful see trough brick lego koi fish out there for you to find to swim in the pond. have fun building your giant zoo! I believe you do. DJ
Potentially.. let me think about that one! Would’ve been nice to have underwater viewing for turtles.. and that is significantly harder now considering the water level 🤔

Odin is a king of course 👑 thanks so much for your kind comment, I’m pleased with it for now 😁

That’s a great suggestion, I’ll have a look in my inventory! 🙏🏻

Thanks it does look loads better… I look at it now and think I should’ve raised it 2.. 😅
Since the Botanical Garden has a water feature, you should definitely add a waterfowl bird like flamingos.
Thank you for the great inspiration for my own botanical garden. That tiled floor is brilliant and tips on how to make a realistic flower field. Can't wait to see your zoo grow 😁
Thank you! Welcome to the zoobricks crew! :-)
Odin is so gosh darn cute 💕

Thank you 🙏🏻 Odin is an obscenely cute and naughty cat. Gets away with everything. 😼
Yeah that botanical garden looks great!
Not sure why I haven't seen this before now, but nevermind!

Looks much more finished! I really like this resoult :) Great job!
Thank you! 😊
That's awesome build! I haven't watched since the beginning but this such a massive undertaking. I can't wait to see where it goes
Welcome! It is a massive undertaking…. 😬 Thank you so much for being here! 🙏🏻

Amazing! So pleased you’ve got some ideas from it, make sure you share your build too! 😎

The whole thing looks amazing. But the water-feature is just stellar! I kind of like the fish tile as you have it.
Agreed!
Thank you, once the trans blue tiles come in, I’ll have a play about with the fish placement. Thank you 😎
Wow, it looks so cool. You are very talented and creative 👏 👏👏
Thank you 😎
Looks like Ivy's batonic garden straight out of Lego Batman the video game
so cool...

The tiles look really good, they are an improvement. It all looks good.
Amazing as always! I particularly like the idea with the flowers; I might put that to use in my own builds!
Thank you 😎
The tiled floor enhances the build. Looking good
Thank you 🙏🏻
Excellent designings!
Thanks 😎

I have got some red pandas now! They are so tiny, might just be my next Lego exhibit… 🤔
Great !
I work at a botanical garden, this is some cool fucking shit.
Awesome - now you need to build a Lego one 😎
It’s looking really good!!!
Thank you! 🙏🏻

Hey Isobel! That's amazing, so pleased you like the build! I also made the mini-dolls disappear.... O.O thanks for watching and welcome!
woah, so good!
Love it 🎉

That’s a good idea - might do that before putting the trans-blue plate down!
Also, first time exhibiting anywhere 😬
@@ZooBricks It can be a bit nerve-wracking to begin with, but you'll start enjoying yourself very soon!

Can we have turtles in the big pond, please?
Potentially.. let me think about that one! Would’ve been nice to have underwater viewing for turtles.. and that is significantly harder now considering the water level 🤔
I don't understant the "artist palette" in the water... ???
It’s a lilypad! Just like in the original Friends botanical set. 😎
