    That last note by Tim was a G1. His bass rattles my head when I am wearing headphones. He has I believe a 5 octave range. He can sing all 5 in one song which blows my mind.

    Tim starts the song off (Home Free bass singer) Avi, sings second, that starts on the 1st floor to the basement (Pentatonix bass singer)

    Home Fries, baby!!! Pentaholics and Home Fries!! And that note that Tim Fouts hits at the end is a G1, that means a low G one octave below the music staff. And that is NOT the lowest note the man can sing!! His basement is deeeeep!! Peace from Texas, my man!!

    This was the 2nd song I heard when I discovered Home Free last year. It is done in a reggae calypso beat. It showcases the higher & lower ranges of both Tim & Avi. That last note of Tim is impressive with how low he goes, but more impressive is how long he sustains the note. On the "Sing Off" Show (without Avi) Tim goes even lower & he impressed the judges so much that they gave them a standing ovation. And Adam once again was stellar in his vocal percussion.

    • @darrenshoults4620
      @darrenshoults4620 Год назад

      Tim is a world class bass, but bringing in Avi with his bass in a different tone just gives it more color. Plus they get to show their higher ranges as well. I think Pentatonics kept Avi in the background a lot, so he was glad to help out.

    Home Fries....Avi’s the one in the stocking cap, the really deep bass. the drum set is Adam Rupp who is literally a world class beatboxer. I don’t know what you’ve seen of them yet Van but How Great Thou Art, The Butts Medley, Helplessly Hoping, Mayday and Brothers in Arms are some you would appreciate.

      Avi does have his stocking cap on except for the last note part where you see him put a cowboy hat back on after Tim's low note - - its tough to notice on a reaction screen but in the full screen video he removes a cowboy hat as a tip of the hat to Tim at the end which is strange because during the rest of the video he has a stocking cap on

    To answer the question about where that last note sits on the keyboard...
    That was a G1. Yes, you read that correctly. And Tim can go lower. Man has literally blown out speakers with his low frequencies. Once he even caused part of the ceiling to collapse at a venue during a live performance.

    Suggestions: "Misty Mountains" Peter Hollens & Tim Foust, "Folsom Prison Blues," Home Free (you'll love Tim's serial killer grin!) Then to the opposite end of the spectrum would be "My Maria," Austin Brown & Tim Foust. "Mayday" is another one, but most folks suggest not watching it until the reactor knows each member by name what their role is in the group. In Home Free's "Sea Shanty Medley" you can really hear Tim's bass come through. The list goes on forever!

We DID NOT buy that HIFI, we left rather quickly! lol One of my favorite songs, and memories!

    We are...the Home Fries...aka the Home Frizzles! But I remain a Pentaholic for life. Avi Kaplin is the original bass for Pentatonix prior to Matt Salle. Their connection, the 2 groups, is winning the Sing Off. Brilliance is Avi being brought in to bass here with Tim. Avi sang lead in Ptxs Hallelujah...you said he looked like Jesus. Here, he wore a beanie, then switched to the cowboy hat at the end, signifying his switch up from pop to country music for this. Avi is the one you said hit the basement...

    Avi is a base for PTX and has a beard & is wearing a beanie (he puts on a cowboy hat at the very last note, but Tim sings that very last low note.). Tim also sings base & goes way low in this one, but also way high! Do yourself a favor & check out their performance of this on “The Song-Off” & Johnny Cash’s original version of it. Avi also is in Home Free’s video for “Champagne Taste” (hilarious!!! You should watch it!) in the bar scene. #HomeFryForLife 💓🙏🏻

    Great reaction! Their talent knows no bounds. This was a very fun take on Ring of Fire and great to see dueling bassists. You really need to react to Home Free's cover of Mary Did You Know? The vocal percussion, bass drops, and harmonies are some of their best yet! But for a really fun, lighter side of Home Free, you need to react to The Butts Medley. June Carter, eventually Johnny Cash’s wife, and someone else wrote the song. Her sister recorded it first but Johnny Cash’s recording is what turned into a major crossover hit. That was in the early 60s. I suggest you give his version a listen. Totally different vibe. Home Free is fantastic, but I prefer Cash’s more emotional version.
