Not bad . all the right wording ., Comes across the digital medium fairly well but , there is no substitute for physical proximity when it comes to darshan .
Suzanne, appreciate your inquiry into relationships. There is a classic limitation to 'neo-advaita' or many first forays into non-duality when the 'way of seeing' that is most aptly used during meditation to marinate in the state I.e. Niargadatta or Ramana - is attempted to be applied to all of embodied and relational life. It generally becomes deeply clunky, eventually stagnating, and emotionally and functionally out of tune. It doesn't negate the depth and meaning of the clarities that arise in experience but you'll find in time it turns out to be bypassing and will cause alot of issues in relationships. I recommend a book like Rob Burbea's 'Seeing that Frees' to begin to understand more skillful ways of approaching a deeper establishing in the Self, whilst also maintaining skillfulness in using views.
It’s not a knowable love but aren’t the after effects knowable? The after glow is knowable but not the source of the after glow? But the after glow is plenty satisfying. We don’t need to know the actual source of it; it will always remain a mystery. Embrace the mystery and give up the need to know.
