We don't have a "stupid" justice system. You should educate yourself on how ours was the first one ever like it, and why. You should also educate yourself on how awful 99% of all other countries on Earth are absolute garbage and completely unjust.
Having said that, the people running our justice system, for the most part, are garbage. Our local, state, and Federal politicians have just as much to do with it as the people who are actually running the court systems on a day to day basis.
95% of our jails are pure shit, and that solely rests on the Sheriffs and everyone they employ, including the boards who approve requested budgets. (They never get near what they need.)
Prosecutors, DAs, and the public defenders offices are mostly garbage, too.
Our system is awesome, people suck!

@@unbreakable7633That's not true either. When the system is run correctly, that doesn't happen.
So it doesn't look like either one of you No anything about how any of this is supposed to run, and so because you're uneducated about it you haven't done a thing to try and make things right, have you? You haven't done anything to help make changes, have you? So then, if you haven't done any of that, and you really don't know the way the justice system works, how come you get on here and talk about how much it sucks when you know nothing about it and can't do anything to fix things?!?!
I'm tired of seeing people talk about how much America sucks, how much our justice system sucks, but people don't know anything about these things, they do nothing to learn about it, and they do nothing to make things better! Just shut up. Seriously. Please.
We are the greatest country on Earth, and you all know nothing about it, yet you carry on and on and on about how much America sucks. You have no idea just how good you have it, and just how bad most other countries are. You sound so stupid when you say stuff like that.

So I was thrown in jail one night when I was on my way to work. I was pulled over.for speeding, which I was, but then I was arrested for warrants that I had on tickets that had already been paid. I was booked and made my phone call, but no one answered because they were asleep as it was 11pm. The wrecker that towed my vehicle (I didn't get to call and have someone come pick it up) saw my last name and called my father, who is a well-known mechanic in the area. That's how anyone found out I was locked up. They threw me in isolation. I wasn't crying or throwing a fit or anything. I also was never given a reason for this. My mom showed up that morning a little after 8am with the receipts for the tickets. They wouldn't accept them. They told her that she had to go to each police station and have them call and say the receipts were legit. Since I had one from my hometown and one from the next town over, she had to go to two different stations. They didn't let me put until after 4. So I lost a night's pay and my dignity. To sum it up, they stripped me down and gave me a blanket, threw me in isolation, didn't give me another phone call, wouldn't tell me why I was in isolation, and treated me like absolute garbage for being arrested on PAID TICKETS! Just because some lazy secretary didn't do her f*cking job! And no one would have even known I was in there had it not been for the wrecker calling my dad! I have also never been in trouble before...ever. I also had to pay over a thousand to get my car.out of impound. What are my options?

In King county, Washington, a man was locked up for five years after his charges were dismissed. He was mentally challenged and wasn’t even curious about why he was being held without trial. He would have been there even longer except somebody noticed that the books were off and the jail wasn’t getting paid for the extra mouths it had to feed. So they ordered an audit and it turned out that several of the inmates had had charges dismissed but weren’t released. If it weren’t for some penny-pinching bureaucrat, they’d all still be in jail. The next two longest serving inmates had both been in a year after charges were dropped. They hadn’t been assigned lawyers because charges were never actually filed. They’d never been arraigned or anything. Just taken to jail, booked and forgotten.

I'm not sure how many votes he's going to actually get given his inability to give any background or context to what the hell he's talking about. I've spoken to crackheads on the corner that tell more coherent stories than this guy.

I share your concerns, but I don't think Mr. Gross can be blamed in this case. This looks like amateur video of a conversation (as opposed to a speech) that was already in progress. I'm sure the specifics of the case he's discussing were probably mentioned before the camera started rolling.
