my conica minolta c554e makes a red shaded area on top of every colour page. we just replaced all the colour cartridges.
It wasn't needed. The drum unit does not need to be replaced in this case. You need to replace your developer unit magenta.

I'm having an issue with Konica Minolta 164.
The machine prints dark on photos.. text files are printed clearly.. changed the drum, cleaning Blade, cleaned the corona wire and grid, changed developer, toner, fuser roller, fuser upper roller everything.. if the Id card are printed, text area is very clear.. photo area is completely black.
Please suggest
Corona wire do not clean because it will do nothing, just replace it with a new one and grid.

You have installed the wrong chip. Each color has a separate unique chip. You got the colors wrong.

Yes it's a popular glitch. You have several options.
1. Unplug the drive and turn on the copier again. If it boots up, you need to replace the hard disk with a new one.

Maybe you only have a damaged transfer belt, so take it out and check it carefully. Check that it rotates freely and that there is no damage. If you don't find anything, follow these procedures:
1 Check the connector between M1-PRCB CN14 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
2 Check the connector of M1 for proper drive coupling and correct as necessary.
3 Check the connector between PS39-relay CN124-PRCB CN3 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
4 Check the connector between CL5-relay CN103-PRCB CN24 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
5 PS39 I/O check, sensor check PRCB CN3-15 (ON)
6 CL5 operation check PRCB CN24-4 (ON)
7 M1 operation check PRCB CN14-2 (REM) PRCB CN14-5 (LOCK) C-2 to 5
8 Change M1.
9 PRCB ICP5 conduction check. 10 Change PRCB.
