I have used my booth (a hand full of times) as an extra podium for the party host for speeches, and Award Ceremonies so that's a plus. Also, I bought my first one (as you mentioned for Small venues with tight spaces , House Parties etc. I also keep the fabric attached at all times (white in front and black on the sides) for lighting up the front.
After agonizing between the Mesa Media and the XL, I've gone for the XL. For the vast majority of my gigs I'm not going to need a display and I really like the size and the fast and simple setup. This is going to really reduce my footprint and I'm really happy for that. I also really like that guest can see the table top a little bit.
Very Cool! Thank you for showing us! I agree with the point that it gives others the chance to see what you are doing which will add to their excitement and enjoyable.
Congrats on being one of lucky ones to get the Rockbooth XL! They’re completely out of stock, and when I called Rockville, they said they have no plans on manufacturing them anytime soon.
Hey I have one of the Rockville xL booths and the small pegs in the bag are for the work top so if the floor you set up on is uneven you can level the work top
Good review. I see you’ve been using the Rockville a lot in recent videos so seems to be going well. The part that was extra is a rivet. It was obviously not used because it still has the center that gets snapped off by the tool. Either they missed a rivet or more likely just accident dropped and extra in.
Thanks! Been using it all season and love it. I sold the other table. Yeah, I saw in their promo video that you could screw the table down and that’s why I was confused. Table doesn’t need it
@@AaronStrawn I was debating grabbing this and decided instead on the Indio Headliner booth. I like the look and option for lights and tv mount. Seems quite new so hoping quality is good. Now onto lights. Can’t believe a set of these will cost more than my sound rig.
I bought the Headliner Dj booth. Similar to ADJ in style and price. Once together it’s pretty nice but the fit of everything is pretty sloppy. Doesn’t affect the table much but I had to custom make some connectors for the light bar so it wasn’t loose. The bag is horrible. For smaller gigs I just bought the smaller Rockbooth. I planned on modifying it to three panels but after putting it together I like it as is. It’s slightly smaller in the bag than the headliner but it’s a better bag, more compact in all dimensions, tighter fit, and quite a bit lighter. I’m pretty impressed for the price.
Yeah, I think the fast table is better for your ceremony rig or non wedding events. I just checked on Amazon and didn’t realize that they were two sizes of the booth that you have
For the Mesa media i load it vertically on my cart/dolly and have no problems making it through doorways even single ones. And i don't take the top shelf with me which may also cut down on the weight of the whole thing.
Thank You for telling us how heavy and awkward the proX mesa can be. Other vids kinda gloss over that, if you think real situations like house events w/stairs, small gates or long walk ways 65lbs. at the end of the night when you're tired + TV and all the other gear, ugh! For real, I would just stare at it sometimes like, you sob..haha. I’ll tell you, no problems so far with the Rockbooth. I really really love how light it is and up in 30 seconds
@@AaronStrawn and ALSO, if you are handy, you might be able to attach a custom tv mount to it! Issue would be the sturdiness of the booth itself. TVs today are light, but could it hold up once being weighed down with Dj gear and laptop stand w/ laptop? 🤔

Also, can you set up two turntables and a mixer on either of these booths??
Thanks, I'm with you. Just as annoyed at bad audio in a video. Ok- so a quick look at the rockville site would give you all those numbers you need to see if your gear will fit. If you watch my gig logs, you get to see what I have on the table and get an idea if it will fit what you need. Hope this helps!

The Rockville table is the same as the Ceaders Link "Beast 7" table. I love it and use it all the time. Those lil thumb screws r for the feet so you can raise it and level it.
This is NOT like the Cedarslink Beast 7. This Rockville XL is bigger with the table measuring 24” x 47”. I also wish Rockville would have this in stock because the smaller version doesnt work for me

Hello Aaron, for the pro X Mesa media, the scrim you put around it, I don’t see the holes so you can put the Mount thru it and also for the TV. Looks like it doesn’t have any..Which I actually like better since I don’t plan to use a TV. Or are the holes there but I just can’t see it?? if they are there, does it come with a scrim without the holes for the TV mount? Or do we have to buy that separate? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Just got my Rockville XL. I'm happy so far but have yet to use it. Nice comparison as I felt I didn't look at the prox version enough and now feel a Lott better about my choice.
My ProX bag is falling apart. A zipper broke off, it's starting to frey too and this is only after 1 season with it. I think another problem is that it exactly fits the table. Hardly any wiggle room. I haven't found anywhere to get a replacement bag either.
They’re both pretty sturdy. I would say the Rockbooth is not as sturdy as the ProX for sure. The pro x scratches like crazy so I use a cloth for the Rockbooth when I put the table on it when it goes back into the bag. It’s ok that the ProX gets dinged cause the fabric covers the whole thing
First, you didn't mention how long it took you to setup the Pro X Mesa, 2nd you cheated by attaching the scrims to the Rockville first then resetting the time.
