I’m with you on that one. There’s so much lore that could’ve been expanded upon in the sequels

Also with you! Didn't even know that it's based on a book and how much they have changed it. But the movie makes sense to me, some people can teleport and others don't like it so they hunt them for centuries. One of my most watched movie of all time (I just really like movies/series with teleporting). I didn't know about the series so I'll definitely check it out.

OMG they made me read the books. I mean I was waiting for a sequel that never came, so I wanted to read the second book, but naaah, what if they missed some parts of the first book...read the first one then the second, and all the way to the end. "Lorien Legacies" is still one of my favourite book series.

And still love the movie although they changed a lot of stuff. I love the actors, the story was obviously interesting, but missed so many things I understand why people don't really liked it.

I liked it! I was annoyed with how fascist the Paladins were, but I really liked their methods for hunting Jumpers.

I haven’t forgotten. :) I was gonna put her in the “In Other Media” portion with the “young David Rice” actor (Max Theriot) because they were both in leads in Catch That Kid (2004)

Jumper was an excellent concept poorly executed. I really wish we could have gotten a sequel to flesh out the world some more.
And of course yet another case of studio interference. It's really annoying how many movies had to be ruined before studios learned to trust the people they hire and stop trying appeal to every possible demographic.
I understand movies are expensive and you need to make sure you get a return on your investment but that's the risk you take when you make a movie, it's inherently a gamble and you can't guarantee success.

0:57 very true. Very little of the movie was true to the book

I like this video, but the choices of Samuel Jackson movies that were mentioned.... WHAT?! Not "Pulp Fiction," "Django Unchained," "Juice..." etc ?

Oh yea, I mention the two movies before and two after to establish a filmographies timeline. The original plan was to mention their top tier/ most well known roles but I decided against it because i don’t want to mention the same top 5 movies every time S.L. Jackson shows up on screen. I feel like the script would get stale. But I’ll keep considering it, maybe evolve on the idea. Thank you for the comment too!
