Love what the 9ers are doing, this is already a stacked team and arent really depending on rookies coming in and starting on day 1... I love the kicker pick we got the best kicker in the draft... we have already drafted guys from prior years that's been developing. Man you guys just need to chill and trust the process this regime hasnt failed yet.. bang bang 9er gang trust the process
That's one opinion for sure. I am a bit more cynical. Let me ask ya, have won the Super Bowl in the last 28 years? 31 teams fail every year, the goal is always the Super Bowl. So this regime has been successful but they have not succeeded. I love this team, and a gin Kyle guy, but we are allowed to be critical.
You guys are way overreacting. John and Kyle had a plan and they stuck with it. Mel Kiper said we were going to pick Joey Fisher at 99. We picked him up as an UDFA. So we did get a solid OT. It looks like we picked up quite a few UDFA’s that could make this team! Chill out and wait until August.
I applaud them if they stuck to their plan. My simple opinion is, it didn't feel like the most opportune plan.
The NINERS got players that could get playing time this year..The kicker will be starting unless he breaks his leg..I love the picks for dept and make it into playing games this year..NINERS are better this year then last year and will win it all....They still got until September to get a good RT in a trade..
But are they? That's all hypothetical on rookies contributing and still no answer at the QB position. I would argue they are status quo
Porter, JB, and Moody look ready to contribute game 1 against the Steelers. The rest later on special teams until later in the year.
Day 3 its even worst no qb and they lost 4 qb last year..
I will be back with a day 3 recap, but I don't disagree. To me, not drafting a QB means they will keep Trey, expect some UDFA's to come in as camp body's, but for Now Trey, Brock and Sam is good enough!
The draft overall was a complete bust, friggin kicker in the 3rd round along with a tight end who can't block!?..WTF?
Def some head scratchers in here, but I do also think there are a few with upside and super athletic traits, but most likely will not have an impact until next year and beyond.
So we didn’t have a pick till the 5th round after those 3rd round picks you just said hey if it’s your guy get your guy and I would take this guy over Zane Gonzalez dude you want Gonzalez as our kicker? Because moody would have been gone by the 5th and it doesn’t matter this team will not
make the playoffs Kyle will injure our qbs early FIRE KYLE
Gotta be honest, in my opinion there is no way to justify the kicker in the 3rd, even if we miss out on him in the 5th. Just because he may be the best kicker in the draft doesn't make him great. Time will tell, but no matter how you cut it, lost pick in terms of value.
