7 Sapphire Titanium Pro here ... bought it for 800 - 700 = 400. Fenix E = 800, but no Sapphire, inductive buttons or titanium. So that is a downgrade for the same price. I don't get it.
Garmin’s pricing is a bit crazy, particularly with watches whose features may differ very slightly, which are geared towards a different market but the prices are so varied and vast
I had the 7x and actually did upgrade - but - im keeping my 7x haha. For me I was tired after 6 and 7x of the black watch and went for the 8 titanium as it just looks so classy. The battery on the 8 actually is way better than I thought it would be - but still keeping the 7x for long multi day cycle trips.A week in now and no regrets - though other than looks I can understand why most 7 owners wouldnt feel the need to go to 8
It’s going to come down to how it fits the wrist. Will be used for running cycle touring and hiking so plotting routes and transferring onto the device and multi day gps I could get away with the 47 amoled as used to charging Apple Watch every day but the battery life on enduro 3 looks amazing. Also depends on the rendering of the maps on the mip screen
There is always going to be something newer, better, it makes no sense to change your watch every year or every few year,.. In general garmin keeps upgrading/ updating its older devices with new functions where possible,.. I waited for the 8 as i wanted a bit more smartwatch, mainly take a phonecall without taking my phone out,.. but i intend to keep it for a few years, even if next year model is faster, with lte,..
If Garmin were to add another (or a few) features to the next Fenix, what would entice you to upgrade then? What are your must haves in a smartwatch/fitness watch?
I purchased the Garmin fenix 7x pro sapphire solar back in December and will not upgrade even if I could. You are paying the same price as a high-end phone, all for what! Diving down to 40m and a not so good mic and speaker!!!! Not worth it..
All about the display, really. The AMOLED is just so much nicer. I know MIP has its die-hards. But unless you really need that extra battery life, go AMOLED. Did you check out the Amazfit T-Rex 3? I've worn it for a few days now and quite like it. My Enduro 2 Sapphire Solar may get shelved or sold.
I bought F7pro recently and was a bit disappointed by the screen (compared to basic F6s). I wanted the v5 HR sensor and multiband GPS, but I am not happy with the solar performance and also the solar layer makes reading the screen difficult. They fixed this in F8 MIP, but the price...
@@conveyorofrandomness As an upgrade from F6s yes. But it would be difficult between F8ss and Enduro 3 even if they were the same price probably. E3 has everything I ever wanted, except 47mm size 🙂 As an upgrade from F7pro not really. There is a new menu, more resilient buttons and a microphone. I don't need any of those features. And the display difference is not worth spending much money. If it cost me $100 total for the better display, than yes. But that is not realistic.
Same for me. I do long distance running and hiking, my 2.5 years old Fenix 7X already provide more than enough functionality and battery life. I don't dive so the new diving feature is no use for me. I would only go for 8 if my 7x broke down.
I ordered 27.08. and still no any small sign when watch will arrive? I also contact Garmin team and nobody know nothing??? Just on the way to canceled order and going back to Suunto.
I had only galaxy watches, I sayed out of Garmin because af the call posibility. And like me there are a lot of Apple and Galaxy users Now I buy Fenix 8 for Speaker
The running power in wrist was added to 7 and Epix series a year ago. But keep in mind there doesn't have a standardize running power unit/measurement on the market. You can't compare the running power measure by Garmin to others brand such as Stryd pod.
Are you thinking about getting the Garmin Fenix 8? What are you upgrading from?
I have the Fenix 6 sin 2019 and I was looking forward to the upgrade... you think its worth it? Or should I get the F7?
I got the Enduro 3 coming from a Fenix 5X.
@marcoschepens3054 how are you finding the Enduro?
Same battery life, same gps chipset, same HR sensor...I just can't justify the upgrade for slimmer bezels and a microphone that I'll never use.

$1000 for the entry level Fenix? 😂😂😂 Hard no from me. I'll stick with the 965 and Galaxy Watch Ultra.
That is what’s going to put most people off

I’m also going to go from Apple Watch Series 7 to a garmin. Currently deciding between 47 amoled and enduro 3
Awesome. What’s the defining feature between the two that’s going to make you decide between the fenix and the enduro?

@conveyorofrandomness For me the feniks 8 is the watch that ticks the boxes I want. RUclips will need to update it's app but that's about it,..
What watch did you have previously?
@conveyorofrandomness before it was the samsung 5 pro lte. Not enough of a sportswatch or a navigation aid,..
Got a fenix 7 last month, knowing full well that the 8 was coming out,got a big discount on it,the price tag is not worth the upgrade.
How are you finding the 7? I also managed to get my 7 on a discount too, was torn between the forerunner 965 and the 7 (before the discount)

@leonpatrick5606 you’ve got an awesome watch already.
@conveyorofrandomness yes, and it almost cost me a wife, too 😅🤣😂
круто, чувак

I agree, it’s hard not to love the AMOLED screen.

If the F8 was cheaper would you have still considered getting the F8?

Fenix 7 is amazing, Fenix 8 MIP is amazing :) Garmin is amazing.
👍🏾
What is your wrist size ? Because im gonna get 7 pro but dont know 51 or 47, got 16.5 cm wrist

Yep, for me, I would only get an 8 if something happened to my 7
I ordered 27.08. and still no any small sign when watch will arrive? I also contact Garmin team and nobody know nothing??? Just on the way to canceled order and going back to Suunto.
Did you order direct from Garmin? Have you reached out to them via social media?
Would it be worth the upgrade from a 5 year old Fenix 6X to the Fenix 8? Or should I get the F7
Depends on your budget and whether those new features (compared to the 7), are important to you
I had only galaxy watches, I sayed out of Garmin because af the call posibility. And like me there are a lot of Apple and Galaxy users
Now I buy Fenix 8 for Speaker
It’ll be interesting to see how open the call making via the watch is.
The Fenix 7 has running power in wrist? I got the Fenix 6x Pro Solar Saphire but I really miss running power.
It’s a shame that they don’t feed the extra metrics down the Fenix line, even though I’m sure it’s perfectly capable of measuring it

after my fenix 7s I ll switch to Coros, I just can t cope qith the price
Yeah the price is definitely a big turn off
but buying Coros is supporting Chinese regime - Garmin on the other hand is US company. Coros is just counterfeit of Garmin products.
@@jakejoyride i have Bad news for you most ur stuff are from china
