This Florida team has been through so much this year! They lost 3 starters to injuries! And mostly the glue Alexis Stucky! I hate to never see Elli Mckissok, AC Fitzpatrick, NNedi Okkamor, Sofia Victoria , Anna Dixon , Kennedy Muff play again. Those girls played for those seniors tonight. Go gators 🐊
5:34 This is what u call a serious THUMPER. I mean Otinae got all her weight and body momentum on top of this ball. You don't often see hits like this in women's volleyball. Absolutely crushed it straight down.
It's common in international volleyball. Not very common in collegiate volleyball. Most setters in collegiate volleyball only set their outside hitters, but all the way out to the antennas. It's rare to see plays that have the outside hitters come inside for a 3 ball in college level.
@@zackd2852 True, and in addition, you usually don't see a set that tight (which is easier to hit straight down, as long as there's no block). The setter did it somewhat unintentinally, she was struggling to handle that tight pass and didn't have the strength/position to pull the set off the net.
@@djbenje4019 Yeah...the pass was tight to the net, but if you look closely, that's their "trump card" play (they were probably told to run that to catch Florida off guard as they haven't done all match). Pretty sure it was planned as you can see Otene was already making her approach toward the inside of the net before the pass was even made and the setter, even when struggling was going to set a 3 ball anyways. It's PLANNED, but it worked out perfectly because that attack was monstrous.

The very best females on every NCAA campus in this country are on the volleyball courts. Long Live Amazon Beauties and April Ross is my all time favorite.
If florida can play this well without Stucky, next year they are gonna be the ones to beat. Muff's experiences this year is going to make that gym way more competitive and good luck to who has to play them next year. Congrats GT been following since the program had burgman keep it up and please go beat Neb.
