I agree with the person who wrote about the importance of physical exercise. I was diagnosed with PD when I was 69. Ten years have passed and my symptoms haven’t gotten much worse. I attribute that to stationary bike rides daily, plus tennis, hiking, yard work, and boxing. Go for it-you will feel much better!!

It may stop tremors but also feels like a heavy opiate. My father was diagnosed 8 years ago and levodopa has only made him less mobile and active due to the narcotic effects. Cannabis with sativa is far better for tremors, energy levels, and mobility

After 11 years of being diagnosed with Parkinson's and taking Co Carbidopa & Levadopa 4 times per day. I have now been told I don't have Parkinson's Disease. What permanent damage can be caused please. I had a DAT Scan in 2013 and my last one in April this year.

If it goes away when she stops the med, and comes back when she takes it, it IS a side effect. Perhaps a rare one, but one nonetheless. As a medical professional, you never assume you know every possible reaction someone will have. I always have the weirdest side effects to meds, so I believe my patients when they say these things. It is possible.
