Ford Fusion. Ford borrowed heavily from Mazda when constructing the Fusion sedan, using the chassis and drivetrain shared with the Mazda6. The Fusion also borrows from the Ford 427 concept in its bold exterior styling. The Japanese hardware and distinctive design give the Fusion a character very different from other midsize sedans on the market.
Welcome to our comprehensive Kelley Blue Book review of the Ford Fusion.
The Ford Fusion doesnt pretend to be a Toyota Camry or Honda Accord. It looks decidedly different than either of these sedans and offers a comfortable, high-quality interior that we wouldnt mind sinking into for a long road trip or just for a jaunt to the grocery store. It is also less expensive to buy that the two segment standard-bearers. For more new car reviews, interviews and automotive news visit www.kbb.com today.

I have had my Fusion now for 10 years and I have never had a more reliable car in my life! The ride is quiet and smooth and the interior and exterior have held up so well you'd swear it was only 5 years old. I've never done any major mechanical work to it other than the typical wear and tear issues. Another point, I live in Canada and I have never had to plug the car in to start, it has always started!! Ford has me sold on reliability so now I am looking for a newer model Fusion.

I own a 2008 Ford Fusion SE with the 2.3 4CYL engine. It gets about 25 MPG City and 28MPG highway. Has built in sync, is the smoothest driving car I've ever owned, has a very good braking system, and a very reliable transmission that shifts adequately and also has plenty of a "get up and go" for being a smaller car. I would definitely say it's a reliable vehicle and will lose resale value, but if well maintained, should run just as long (if not longer( than the Sonata and Civic.

I love my 07 Fusion. The 2.3 get 31 MPG in the city and 35 on the highway. It's fast in comparison to other cars in it's class, comfortable, and corners like a champ. I also think it's one of the best looking cars in it's class.

Ive had my Fusion for about 4 months now. I still love it every time drive it.
I got mine in a suede white with a tan colored interior and love how it looks. It stays fairly quite even when on the highway. The ride is smooth and the steering is responsive.
The only real negative thing I have to say about it is that the head rest is not adjustable, so it took some getting used to. Fuel economy is so-so, but Im only 10 minutes from work. I re-fill every 2 weeks with $50.
    Yes to fusion!

My wife and I have been test driving a few different Fusions, 4cyls and V6's. I'm not sure how they can say that they're not very quick cars. That four cylinder has as much or more kick to it than the Honda's V6 and the Fusion's V6 got me up to 85mph before I was off the entrance ramp to the highway.

The 2008 fusions do. Ford did that to cut the price back in the last two model years. They aren't the first car company to do that GM stopped putting anti-lock breaks on their cars standard after the 2002 model year. Some Toyota and Nissan models still don't come with anti-lock brakes standard.

this car is good when my family wants to get one that doesn't cost much. i don't really care about warranty since i usually get cars used. and for me it depends on, good fuel rate, comfortability, style, and easy to repair. ford was there first o well if it goes down least i know most pepboys and other repair shops cna handle the fords simple design.

To RickStylus: Ford has actually matched toyota in quality, furthermore the reason the big three are "struggling" is because of the UAW. The days of the 70's gass guzzlers are long gone. I have two GM cars with over 250k and one with 840,981 that's right over 3/4 million miles. Show me a toyota with that, that still gets 32 mpg on the motorway doing 85 mph. The only thing I've replaced is a water pump, tires, brakes, and batteries. Get your facts straight, and open a book on current events.

  • @ogalief

The first generation Fusions may be ugly, but they're one of the most reliable cars you can get. Avoid the automatics, because they're prone to failure. The most common issue is the interior drivers door handle snapping, which can be replaced for $30 with a new and improved one. It looks like ass, but it will run forever!

Well you gotta realize that ugliness is based on opinion. A few months ago I was discussing buying that same car to my buddies, and some of them thought it looked like ass, some of them thought it was a great looking car. Sorry that I offended you. They are great, reliable cars, just some people (such as myself) don't like the look of them.
