    Love how you use the pencil to mark where you want to crop paper - so much faster than measuring everything and looks great!

      @mawmawvee 6 лет назад +2

      Vicky, I think most of us hoard. Perhaps we don't want to use the papers until just the right card comes along to make and what if we use scraps on something and then we see what would have been THE perfect use for them and we don't have the scraps anymore! OMG!

    • @mawmawvee
      @mawmawvee 6 лет назад +1

      Lynn, I've been cutting up my hoarded Christmas cards for the past few days and can't wait to start recycling them into new creations, though I'm not as creative as Vicky, I'm going to give it my best. Should be a lot of fun.

      Not boring at all. Question: If you are French Canadian, you speak great English, with just a hint of an accent. I love to hear people speak English with their native accents.

    • @CraftingVicky
      @CraftingVicky  6 лет назад +1

      yup French Canadian here

    • @mawmawvee
      @mawmawvee 6 лет назад

      We live in Southwest Louisiana in the Heart of Acadiana, which is Cajun Country and I hear similarities in how you pronounce some words, so I love hearing you speak. Many French-speaking Canadians visit Lafayette and vice-versa. We've loved living here for all these years.

  • @MetalScrappinChick
    @MetalScrappinChick 5 лет назад +1

    Your listening skills must he getting better lol. When you were finishing up your first card and trying to decide what to put in that square, I was yelling "wreath!" Lol well maybe not yelling, but I was thinking it very loudly 😁.... and you listened!! Lol 😆
    I too happen to have oodles of tiny paper scraps from all the years of making my own cards. My problem is that I tell myself I'm going to strictly craft from stash, but then Hobby Lobby and Michael's put out the most adorable new Christmas papers! So I buy one or two and I tell myself "next year in gonna craft from stash" lol. Its a vicious circle 😁.

    Vicky, you are so good with your ATG gun. Mine doesn't work half the time, and I almost get freaked out when I have to change the tape. What is your secret to get it to run so smooth? Mine seems to get stuck a lot. Love your videos and your Canadian accent :)

    • @CraftingVicky
      @CraftingVicky  7 лет назад

      Changing the tape can be tricky.... but much much much practice makes perfect I guess? It's really taking the time to set up the tape well and make sure that the tape is in a straight line and tight? That makes the difference. When I don't put it super tight I get issues. TFW :)

    Hello Vicky you're cards came out great, if i tryed that they would be so random and would turn out pants as i have no creativaty what so ever. Thats why i want to try dirty pouring paint style as the paint does it for you hehe.

    • @CraftingVicky
      @CraftingVicky  7 лет назад +1

      I'm sure that it would turn out way better than you are making it out to be. It's super easy stuff! the pouring paint I still haven't tried! See I'm scared of that :) TFW

    • @DOGTAGx50Cal
      @DOGTAGx50Cal 7 лет назад +1

      hehe i am going to try the dirty pouring (i will just call it painting from now on) i sound like some failed soft porn star haha but i am going to try resin first and i have just recived my finial part which was the colours ( the blue had leeked all over the 13 colours i had ordered) took agers to clean up. Any way i have that to try first, one of the two painting types i am hopeing i can think of a way to use it on some of my wood lathe peaces but not figured how to yet. 8)

      @CraftingVicky  7 лет назад

    • @CraftingVicky
      @CraftingVicky  7 лет назад

      I don't put anything inside. We usually fill it up with handwriting but you could do it the way you would like. I know people that prepare messages on the computer and then print those up and glue them to the card.

    Re: Crooked--Have you checked to see if your new trimmer may be crooked? It can happen. I hope it's not, but you never know. I've gotten crooked guillotine trimmers before.

    • @CraftingVicky
      @CraftingVicky  Год назад

      I changed the title of the series afterwards to recycle or use your scraps/stash because my goal was to use up as much of my items as possible. Some of the series is with previous cards and some with just items from my stash.
