My sister must have called in 20 times already, and I guess she thought if a different person requested the song perhaps the DJ would play it sooner. And he said that he didn't like liars, and I responded by saying, "No! I'm a boy!!" Knowing that it was my sister that was likely the one who kept calling in, and was a girl, of course. But you know what, I'll bet there were several others who kept calling in that same night requesting this song. Man! We're talking around 50 years ago! This woman has the perfect voice, so unbelievably clear and finely nuanced! What a wonderful singer!
Possibly the FINEST voice ever to be record in the music business.....back then in 72....or today.
Tu voz era como el como de los angeles del cielo gracias mil por dejarnos maravillosas canciones ahora tu ves las maravillas que Dios te da.🇵🇪
Always flabbergasted of that beautiful voice.. ❤️
There won't be any other that has a unique voice like hers nope 🙏She is miss rest in peace...🙏
Great, naturally clear voice and the best song of Karen in my opinion.
So much talent and to see play the drums that she loved so much. Her few joys.
100% BLESSED and a big ALOHA to Miss Karen Carpenter!! Love her voice!! So soothing!!🤙🏽🙏❤
What I would give to have music like this still made in today's crazy lame electronic world. Just real tunes and instruments from the soul
I'm with you
music like this is still being made, by someone, somewhere out there. Lewis Capaldi for example.
I so agree with you 😊
@@DiaboloMootopia nice! guess i need to do more homework!
God bless you Karen. Got a great voice you love.🙏❤️🎼.x
Makes me cry when I listen to this music, very sentimental to me.
I begun to love this music of Caren Carpenters since I was in the grade school, ii remembered it on the year 1972 until now I still love like this music and I am already 56 nearly to die, I want this music to be played when I am already burried in my grave!
Dont die without knowing Jesus, he is our only hope in the afterlife... The hope of eternal joy
We love and respect you Karen ❤ my aunt reminded me so much of her and she just recently passed. One night i was researching Karen and then played this before bed, I sobbed for them both. Angels forever 💜💜💜
I’m so sorry for your loss Erin. 😔I hope this beautiful song gives you some comfort knowing that the beauty of your aunt, like this song, will live in your ❤️ forever.

@@erinsebestyen8152 I wish you many more birthdays Erin ❤️Don’t forget, you are blessed to have your auntie in your ❤️ forever. Take comfort knowing that 😊 x
I remember hearing that on the radio in the summer of 1970. It was so good, and her voice so beautiful. The harmonies she did with Richard were smooth as silk.
Perfection! Thank you for your time and skills to bring us this Masterpiece.
I just love the song "Close To You" The Carpenters ❤💕🎤🎼🎵🎶
Of course you do! This song was composed by the greates.... Burt Bucharach! 😇
My dad used to listen to this song a lot on his car when picking my sisters and me from school or during roadtrips.
Love you dad.
I always have goosebumps everytime I hear her sing. huuuhhhhh :) Love her voice.
