Have you gotten there? At least for brief moments? I used to be able to but once again trapped - this shall pass and I’m sure I’ll get back to not thinking !
I was raised by someone who believed worrying would help change the situation. As Eckhart says, I have learned that being present actually helps relieve stress. You also get to connect with intuition that helps guide you out of a difficult situation.
This came at quite a divine moment for me, I often get trapped in a negative cycle of needing to think things over and over again, believing that thinking about it will help. Great tips in this video, I'll rewatch it as much as I need to and put this practice into my physical life. Remember everyone, you can digest as many quotes, books, and advice as you can but if you don't put it into everyday practice, your brain won't automatically do it! it takes time to make good habits, good luck to all that reside here :D
A year ago, my Ego had captured me such I felt: Why am I like this? I'm tired, I hate myself, I hate my thoughts, I'm a misery, nothing's pleasant, I don't enjoy my fun activities anymore, no one loves me, I'm born to suffer,etc... Like Eckhart Tole, my suffering came to a point that led me to come out of my cocoon. And finally, my newself, trueself was there; *I BECAME PRESENT.* Thank you Mr.Tole for your amazing book "power of now". I'm so happy that God chose me to be one of the enlightened people, to live in the present moment. I'd like to meet you one day in person if i get the opportunity. I want to thank you and hope for you to live long, and for God to help all of the world to awaken from their unconsciousness. 😊🌸
You Calm Place - You are comphy needing to go some Day, and you know that everything desolve s one Day and it’s okay! All on the surface will End! But the Counsiousness is always around never born to never dye!
Yes absolutely...when you stop thinking you reconnect with Spirit and universal mind both of which are much more able to hold your life together than the thinking mind that is programmed by society and chained by ego and limited perspective.
Stopping thinking involves effort. Being aware of thinking is effortless. Thinking is rarely problematic. It's our reaction or response to thinking that creates ripples in the pond of stillness.
@@mr.solitude3352 Good point and absolutely it is the reaction thinking that creates the problems however stopping your thoughts through stillness and observation of the mind is effortless..and thinking involves energy. brain scans demonstrate this and this is why people who practice presence generally have more energy and when you are not thinking the more subtle voice of Spirit becomes clearer.. and Spirit, or Universal Intelligence is much better at solving real life problems than the chattering monkey mind.
@@TheMediumChannel All things become our friends and allies, including thinking, when they reveal how we react and respond to them. Ego's density is directly related to our reactions/responses to every appearance that appears before us, including the appearance of thinking.
@@mr.solitude3352 yeah, nothin wrong with thinking and Joe Dispenza who I follow says exactly as you are however you cannot be in stillness and observing mode if you are engaged in thinking. We let the personal mind with all it’s social conditioning go in order to blend with Spirit Mind, and that is effortless except the ego tries to interfere.
@@TheMediumChannel Sorry if I wasn't clear earlier. Thinking is an appearance, like all appearances, material and otherwise. What you call engaged in thinking I refer to as reacting or responding to thinking. Even creating the distinction between a "personal mind" and a "Spirit Mind" can constitute an engagement in thinking, or thinking about a particular thought. Being aware of a thought without reacting or responding to it, is a manifestation of... (drum roll)... being aware of being aware. Our core.
wow. what got me more was when eckhart said not to judge, just observe. "human nature are expressions of life, of aliveness and these are beautiful, too."
I used to live in.a Buddhist temple in Las Vegas. Our master there said he chose it because it was the ultimate challenge. If you can seek enlightenment amidst the chaos of Las Vegas you can do it anywhere
I read the power of now and it definitely transformed my thinking forever, and I'm so happy and grateful for this channel where i can listen and see Eckhart, he's a great spiritual teacher!! He gets to the point in a very delicate way and he makes the audience laugh in the most peaceful way
The University of Metaphysics used to be headquartered in Las Vegas, also. My mother earned her Doctorate in Metaphysical Sciences at this school in the late 1990's. She accomplished this remotely, while working full-time. They sponsored fabulous annual multi-day Spiritual conferences, and provided live events for their graduation ceremonies. The school has now relocated it's headquarters to Sedona, Arizona. Sedona has always been the cool place for everything Spiritual, and it is a gorgeous experience, to be sure. However, the cost in Vegas is significantly less for air travel and lodging, which made it preferable as a location. Personally, I know it's possible to stay conscience in Vegas, even while playing casino games. I've heard that casinos are filled with negative energy, however staying in non judgemental as Ekhart Tolle recommends is the cure for that! If Conscious people isolated from the general population, then who will be the example of Light and Consciousness for the unconscious to experience? Be the Light! Namaste my human family. 🥰🤗💃☀️💘💝
Being excited and stimulated constantly isn’t what your mind and being need. You lose your mind and being in exchange for them. Pick and choose wisely. Being you or someone else.
I try not to think, lol, seriously though worrying, fretting and obsessing dosen' t do anything, it doesn' t change anything, I try and be in the present moment and sometimes it' s hard.
I trust Jeremiel to guide me in my dreams and daydreams, showing me the correct path to walk on at this time in my life. And I ask him to show me the correct choice to make regarding any important decisions in my life.
Yes it can be dangerous to stop thinking, trust intuition to think for you. Discard the rest, be at peace. You don't know what you don't know. Allow an answer from the stream of thoughts to be spiritually guided. Trust in the process, personal thoughts might endanger you. Ego driven thoughts I suppose. Yes?
Thinking ist just limiting what Life, God, whatever can do for you. Since I stopped thinking everything got better than i could have ever imagined. It is really like someone knows better than my limited mind, what is my highest whish and joy.
While it is true that the city of Las Vegas offers an incredible array of visual and auditory stimulations (which can have little adverse effect on your mind's stillness, if that is your intent), many people overlook the fact that a mere 20 minutes outside of Las Vegas can place you in the most silent kind of place in the world: the desert. You have never heard a silence (pun intended) as silent as the silence of a desert. And that abundantly exists outside of Las Vegas; you just have to expand your visual boundaries to include the desert outside of that town.
@@zaringonda6068 I agree. The sound of no sound (AKA silence) is an amazing experience. It does have a way of magnifying the self-talk in your own head by contrast, however. And that can be a little alarming to some.
When you take a hands-off approach to life, you open up a space for God to come in and guide you. This is why surrender to what is works miracles in your life.
I've been to Vegas recently, and it is definitely not the place you want to go to become enlightened or awakened. Too much stimulation no matter where you turn! Though the Bellagio fountains are nice.
I kind of practiced what he preached. Felt numb and weird. Like a stone. Then I had to go back figure out what to do with life's challenges and live normally. This kind of living is not normal. I've kept subscribed to this channel but I must tell you, this didn't help me even though I invested my 2 years into it and believing at times that I felt what realisation is like. At one time I experienced what now I can remeber 'a complete withdrawal from mind and ego". But still at the end all we need is security for life. That we must worry about food and shelter. Then maybe company. Eckhart doens't answer anything about these. Any person can practice his teaching when he's no fear of continuous inflow of money and a security of life.
Strange topics. In all my 63 years, I never considered is thinking dangerous. Thinking is healthy and vital. Worry and rumination are what you want to address.
I have this Desire of Getting Rich Young and Enjoy Travelling the World in my 20s and get laid and just have fun in general. But i have this fear that once i stop thinking about it and let go and just live in the present, i might lose my goals and Everything and just live a normal life without creating a real impact. If that fella's goal is spiritual evolution, then it sure would seem like he would be trying to find another line of work other than a dealer at a casino. He is essentially, directly involved in the exploitation of other people, in a way which is not very different than a pusher, selling addictive drugs. That's not a condemnation of him. I'm just saying, I don't agree with the assessment that living and working in Vegas, in that capacity, is productive for anyone drawn to the path of spiritual evolution. I'm assuming that he is drawn to that path, because he is at an Eckhart Tolle event, and went to the trouble of asking this question. I think a better course of action for him would be to take a vacation from work, leave the city and its energy behind for a while, and do his best to align with his higher self. See if he can get some intuitive guidance from within. He clearly has some level of conflict with where he's living and what he's doing there, and that internal conflict would indicate that he is not currently aligned with his higher self.

You can still think if you choose to - it is just that non-appropriation of thought is more sublime
All thinking can be transmuted to Peace with Acceptance, Truth, Stillness, Wisdom from Being in the Now.
