as a pastry chef, i love it when people making the effort to actually making Savoiardi by themselves instead of buying it. a bit too much espresso imo. should be dipping it in cold espresso for a split of a second so the middle of the Savoiardi will be a bit "crunchy" texture. but overall it looks extremely awesome 👍💪😋 one of my favorite desserts to make and to eat. Italian food is the best!
As an Italian, born and raised, you did a fantastic job on the Tiramisu!! 😀 We usually put a liquor like Amaretto or a sweet Italian liquor or Brandy, where we dip the Savoiardi first in coffee or mix coffee with the liquor together. You did it without liquor which is great also. Both ways are fantastic! You are great!
no. the recipe from Le Beccherie, which is the restaurant the tiramisù was originated in, does not put any form of alcohol. the recipe that is shown in the video is 100% correct.

Addition 1 Add per taste Amaretto liqueur to the coffee/ or extra batch and separate the biscotti. The recipe mentions Disaronno* *e.g Lyre‘s Amaretti is non-alcoholic Addition 2: Add Rum per Taste to the cream Recipe says to use 1ts - 1tbs “Stroh 80%”. Thats the Austrian influence 😊 There are lower percent options available, as well non-alcoholic rums. We loved to sneak and steal leftovers from the adult versions as children. I can’t say for other countries, but in Europe chickens are vaccinated against salmonella so eggs are much safer to eat, but America doesn’t so it might’ve be more dangerous
I live in Russia, so it’s the same thing for me as for Americans. I’m sure that there are some private parties that vaccinate their chicken (if you really wanna eat some raw eggs), but for the most part our eggs can be infected with salmonella too, that’s why everyone is scared shitless of the “eating eggs raw” idea
I like that this recipe doesn't have alcohol. I like tiramisu but don't drink alcohol, yet most of the tiramisu i've come across has some sort of wine in it. The few times i find tiramisu with no alcohol i enjoy it a lot.

I made these experience often by myself. With selfmade ladyfingers you should only dip it for quarter of a second, when you dont want to get it mushy. Apparently, southern Italy use alcohol. Friend from Rome didn't use alcohol as it made the cream bitter.
