As an African-American, have you ever wondered where you actually come from in Africa?
About five years ago, I took a DNA test with another company, and they basically told me I'm from West Africa. Duh! It was a start to my journey because I had at least evidence of where to begin my heritage journey. At the top of the list was Nigeria, Cameroon followed by Ghana, Senegal, Benin, etc. Shortly after I took that test, I discovered @africanancestry and how they focus on determining which tribe you come from. This is the type of test I was looking for because the unwelcomed Europeans created the borders of the countries in Africa we know today during their savagery colonization of Africa. Each country in Africa has multiple tribes that speak different languages. Before I departed for West Africa in the spring, I took a maternal DNA test with African Ancestry.
