  • This week the GPonline team discusses the BMA’s vision for how to rebuild general practice in England, what both the BMA and the RCGP want from the new government and how the BMA’s ballot on collective action - which closes on Monday - plays into all of this.
They also talk about what happens next for physician associates in general practice after a new poll shows public confusion of the role and the RCGP called for a halt to recruitment of PAs in general practice last month.
Our good news story this week is about a GP who was awarded the contract to run her practice after a three-and-a-half year battle.
This episode was presented by GPonlne editor Emma Bower, deputy editor Nick Bostock and senior reporter Kimberley Hackett. It was produced by Czarina Deen.

I would love to know what you think about my situation. I complained to my surgery, about the lack of facilities for disabled and aged patients. They took away the disabled parking bay, and gave it to their fit and healthy General Manager. They had no chairs, in the waiting room, that any disabled person could get down into, or get out of, school assembly chairs. They "sacked me" telling NHS England that my recent house move took me outside their catchment area. I still live in the same home that I moved into during April 2003, 6 years before I joined that surgery.
What do I do about the situation? I spoke to NHS England, and they say they have no powers to even investigate. They told me I HAVE to complain to the practice in the first instance. Is that the truth?

@@DanielleTunstall There are real doctors out there, and then there are the money-obsessed things that don't give a damn about protocol. I haven't had a medication annual review, by a doctor, in 21 years.

@Demun1649 Holy f i haven't either , they tell us to be so greatful for NHS and I always was, but then when you need them they literally make you sicker through stress and mistreatment, then your to scared to speak out because we should be so greatful for NHS and my age group doesn't just openly say what are problems are like this new generation so I think we're all let down and the healthy or rich don't even no the hell we're in as they have health or money for health
I'm so scared and the meds they have me on are so dangerous, but they don't want to diagnose let alone treat,
I was attacked, j spent 12 hours fighting for my life trapped every time I came round I was knocked out again and SA , 12 hour beating, bleeding ears, covered from head to toe in blood
They didn't even help me wash, I am reliving that attack daily due to still need treatment, they haven't checked my ears and j can't hear I'm petrified, I've started to stutter due to have to keep asking help , i can't ask again I've had it
The guy who went to prison for this is now out and free, he's been coming to my door,
How in 2024 are women being trapped like this I'm to scared call police plus j can't hear , sorry for such big trauma dump , this is evidence if anything happens to me x
I hope your not on same meds or been through anything similar, I think because I don't have family I why and how there getting away with this

@Demun1649 that's crazy , it's because there not under police durastriction (can't spell) they are getting away with anything,
This is CLEAR discrimination, I'm not sure why your in chair but is there a charity that helps people with your disability that could help give you legal advice, like its against the law what they've done to you, you could easily sue them for mental distress maybe ???
They've broken the law with me to because my head injury I don't no were start x

I'm being mistreated by my gp obviously he is In a more powerful position than me and due to his abuse I'm now so so weak , I reported him and the woman who looked into it was sacked , how are doctors so above the law, esp when you do get bad people in all walks of life so there will be bad doctors, I'm loosing the ability to speak due to the trauma, I can't use a phone, I've got no fight left I've been begging for help for years 💔 can anyone direct me were to go keeping in mind I can't hear properly and have severe panic attacks (due to my doctor not the attack and years of DV)
BTW your channel very hard to find due to the name , if you put that into RUclips you didn't come up just lots doctor videos, I had to search using description of videos I saw
