ive just bought this model , amazing guitar , the pickups are fantastic , cant fault the guitar , construction , finish , everything about it , and the price , cant go wrong
Just got an artcore, not an expressionist. I couldnt be happier. It sounds amazing, plays great. Modest price. Its really diverse too, from jazz, funk, rock, whatever. Highly recommend artcore series of u are looking for a semi hollow. Also have alot of unique finishes so thats cool
I have the new Ibanez 2019 Artcore AM93 Expressionist Macassar Ebony Semi Hollow Guitar. Same guitar as this one. Just a different color. The finish is absolutely beautiful. It's the most versatile electric I own (I have a dozen of them including Strats and Les Pauls). It's become my favorite guitar. Great for jazz, blues, rock, country. It's the best value out there for the money in electric guitars IMO. Been thinking of getting another one in red like this one in the video.
This is my next guitar! Wanted semi-hollow really, really. Watching Ibanez as-93, in particular. Very good reviews on this guitar all over the YT. And this guy, well - I’ll buy anything he,s demo; best guitar reviews always (though, my playing and gear is far away from his). Love it.
Hi Lee, I presume in your fingers every Guitar would sound brilliant, always warm and emotional, fantastic, accurate finger position, powerful bendings and timing, enormous speeds and high precision attack with pleck and fingers. It's a blessing to listen to your playing. Got a AS53 TF from Ibanez and well pleased with it last days. From my opinion you get 1000 thumps up.
Just bought an AS93 and I'm very pleased with it. I actually traded in my 2004 Les Paul Standard and replaced it with the AS 93. I was looking for a 335 style guitar for blues / rock / jazz. Epiphone models didn't move me. I was worried that the AS may have a typical ibanez skinny neck but no. The neck is a lot like that on the Les Paul I've just traded in i.e. similar to a classic 60's 335 neck, yes I have had may hands on an original 60's 335. Weight wise, it's around 8 lbs, but feels lighter, very comfortable. Fantastic value for money. Not just good for the price but, just really good. One thing I did fix that could have been better. I polished the frets, as the fret faces had not been polished well after levelling. That made bends nice and smooth.
Hi Cliff, I am also interested in 335 for jazz and blues. Gibson is expensive and epiphone brings me some doubts. How is your experience with the AS93 after long time playing? Thank you!
@@eleftheriospapadopoulos6346 Hi, I'm still very pleased with the Ibanez. I've made two mods. I didn't like the look or feel of the quick change tail stop so that's been replaced with a Gibson style aluminium stop. I've also change to magnets in the pick ups to Alnico V bridge and Alnico II neck. I think the originals where Alnico III, anyway they sounded a bit souless / clinical to my ear. Overall I still enjoy this guitar. IMO the weight and body size being just a touch smaller than a 335 is just right. Feels solid and plays great.
Just bought one and delighted, but would need some serious medication to get my arthritic fingers to pillage the fretboard like this guy does. What a player.Wow !! Seriously recommend this guitar though.
I have an AS-93, it's a wonderful guitar. And I also ordered the AS-113 as well, because I'm sold on that spruce top. Plus, I can't get enough of those sweet Super 58 pickups.
@@beableish There really isn't a comparable Epiphone in this range. You could compare them to the AS73 maybe, but as soon as you hit the 93 level and the Super 58's become standard, the only thing you can start comparing to are the Gibson and Heritage 335's that have the Gibson 57 and the SD 59's, respectively. Ibanez is so far ahead of everyone in the "under $1,000" market that it just doesn't seem fair. And even if you went super premium with Ibanez and bought an JSM or Art Star 2000, you still wouldn't spend anywhere near what a Gibson cost.
I've been following her for many years on youtube. Congratulations on the tests performed with great skill and professionalism. I wanted to ask you for advice. I have to choose between IBANEZ AS93 and TOKAI UES78. Despite the sound of the TOKAI similar to 335 GIBSON I have the impression that the IBANEZ is better realized in the neck with consequent greater handling. What would you choose? Thank you and I follow you.
i'm on the fence i'm concidering this model but also been looking at the bensons compaired to this are the really that much better for the price? what's your thoughts
I've got an Ibanez AS93...Very cool looking, Blue in color with gold plate hardware. You can't go wrong with these. The only decision you have to make is how much do you want to spend.
Oh no it's a Lee demo...now I have no idea whether the guitar is good or not. Lee's skill level is not to be trusted, bullet Squier's sound like custom shops in his hands.
Mine is from Indonesia, but it's a 2017 AS93VLS - the previous year model of the same instrument, but in "Violin Sunburst" finish. Even though it's not made in Japan, it's an amazing instrument regardless of the price. It compares quite favorably with my bandmate's Gibson.
Lovely guitar Ibanez ..... but do something about those awful " f " holes ! ..... and Lee, stop playing at a million miles an hour on everything - there's no need - we all know you can play - so just play the damned guitar ffs !!!
@@rodrigogallardo4815 each to their own, I suppose, but they are far too wide for me. fyi I just learned the AM's are smaller in size than the AS models.
I've owned a lot of guitars in my life and my artcore is my favorite. Agreed on how bloody versatile it is ,
Sweet sounding guitar. This dude's playing is even better!
Great playing ..bought my AS 93 in 2015 and love it awesome quality and sound ... cant go wrong ... keep up great reviews and demos ...
What an iconic guitar.looking forward to buy one

I agree . Just ordered one too. I think it’s better than the ones in their 2021 range which I also considered. Everyone seems to like it who has one 😎

Very nice sound.
I have one similar to that one. AS83 its a perfect guitar too.
Nice guitar! Even better playing...well done!
Any guitar in the hands of Lee W. sounds so good.
Very nice playing ! I just ordered this guitar. And while waiting for it to arrive, I watch different videos. A d yours surprised me very nicely 😉
thats a sweet sounding guitar a ANY price
great chops Buddy! Rig sounds nice too. thanks for demo of some cool jazz licks. after all ,, it's a semi hollow body= tone quality is very important
Excellent demonstration, great sounds
I like his voice and commentary. Also his playing.
02:50 I knew that that lick would come, the lick that "destroyed"Jazz
nice play!!! cool!!!!!!!

Wish I could find the blue burst one of these now. Nice guitars
Lee on Pmt ! Cool 😎 loving it

what is the first song??
Wow, nice guitar, and playing.
Excellent video!! Between this guitar, the epiphone sheraton ii pro and the epiphone riviera, which one is better?
what's the name of the first song he played?I Heard it 17167 times but I don't recognize it🙄
Should i buy this one or the John Scofield (made in Japan)? Is there so much difference between those models?
still waiting on mine to arrive; been 7 months now.

Nice phrasing! :-)
Hellow guys , what guitar do you prefer, ibanez as 93 or epiphone Sheraton ii pro
Tried both. Definitely As93 😎🎸
I was on the fence too with the same guitars and ended up with the AS93FM! No regrets my dude. Still going to buy the Sheraton II eventually.
Thank you very much friend, I also have the feeling that the ibanez is better, the ibanez pickups are more defined in my opinion
