As they say "Kisi ke nuksaan mai kisi ka fayda". Because of that traffic issue you got a clean road to do the run.
By the way you got this bike from dealership to ride? I think since they removed the cable it will be later sold to some one. These dealers tend to abuse customer bikes often. I remember seeing a video of KTM dealership where they revved the bikes.
By the way wasn't the fuel gauge also not working since you went out of fuel. Would have been bad if it stopped in middle of the run.
