- Families could see more money this year if they qualify for the child tax credit because Congress is trying to expand that benefit, while also reviving tax breaks for corporations.

Well they need to adjust this credit on their end. Im not waiting for them to take forever to approve. They had plenty of time to work this out.

@@michaelina84921you don’t have to wait i filed mine a family of 5 last week and they said they were going to hold it and wait till after to see if the bill will pass you don’t necessarily have to wait fyi

It's not going to pass before the 29th. There not going to work the weekend, it has to pass the house, the senate and then make it to the president. The house isn't even considering it til next week. You going to wait weeks to file when tax season starts Monday? I'm not. I need my refund.
I fully agree. I filed yesterday. Amazes me how quickly in a blink of an eye billions for another country stamped and signed in hours and they've been negotiating tax credits for families nearly 3 years😑

Considering tax returns will not begin to be processed until after the 29th the is no reason to file before if im not mistaken
@@23rdpsalm_._if you qualify for the credit you will need to amend your return. I’m going to wait until the middle of February
@@traviswillhoite5if your getting child tax credit, you won’t get the return until after the 15th of feb. but democrats seem dead set on killing any of these bills that help families if it doesn’t have money for sex changes, people or color and kick backs to their causes.
No democrat is going to pass a lean bill that just helps the people and doesn’t have money for them.

I dont think they are adding the full amount to the taxes. They would just be adding a small amount more, then incrementally adding a little on each return year after year. So waiting or not, passed or not, you arent going to see some big extra chunk on your taxes
Our current congress sucks. They're total failures. I'm filing tomorrow, not waiting on them.

The News need to be clearer on the information they are giving, they are saying that it's best to file as soon as you can, not bringing up the bipartisan tax bill in question, that the internet is talking about, are warning parents to wait to file, so if it does pass you don't have to file an amendment. The good thing is if you have children and are filling you can wait cause the irs won't mess with your taxes anyways until mid February for EITC/CTC, so I guess if you don't care about the extra money you can file asap, if you can wait it won't hurt you cause they won't mess with it anyways. You get to see if it passes and get all your benefits won't have to file for amendment.
They feds need to hurry tho, ppl don't like to wait cause of fraud, ppl stealing you identity ect, it's a risk for many to wait til mid February.
If they are going to do it they need to do it, wait to pass the bill after the 29th? and they are going to have a huge headache & from the ppl who choose to file on the 29th or before the bill can pass.

No rush! cause the IRS won't mess with your taxe's anyway until mid February, so if you would prefer to wait just to see what the government is going to do, and if it passes? you won't have to file a amendment if your filing ASAP, or wait on the IRS to figure out they owe you by whenever, What's wrong with waiting if you can?. If you can....
