Can you please put time stamps in the description with the topics discussed. That would be great.
I shall not say it. First time checking out the show.
"Fro knows PHOTO dot com" Yeah, these random shows are outstanding, very interesting. I remember Kevin Rose from his Tech TV days, cool to see him doing such big things.
11:11 Neil Strauss. Love it.
#RandomShow Total shot in the dark, but I don't have Twitter so here it goes.
Hopefully I'm not the only demographic like this but I'm an entrepreneur minded 22 year old and have been following Kevin Rose since his debut on the Screen Savers on Tech TV and following Tim Ferriss since 4 hour work week and own all of his books. Even if you're only pitching a "B-sides" equivalent of a not fully developed idea, it may help people like myself that get so much out of both your guy's content and are at the prime age for 80 hour weeks/side projects etc. (More so for Kevin because I get a lot of that sort of content through Tim Ferriss's podcast)
To respond to the select group of people to bounce ideas off of, I would suggest to do so based on maybe an invite only basis with multiple choice questionnaire or just based on people who have been subscribed to the random show for a certain period of time.
Thanks for all of the great influence over the years,
Logan.
Tim: "There's already a chapter for that in the four hour body.."
Kevin: "Yeah.. I know.."
LOL
Kevin can use Access Control Tokens for what he is describing. To build a small audience he can produce say 100KRT tokens, set a price for them, people can bid them up then sell them to other people. The tokens sit in a CounterWallet and tell the page to show content depending on if their wallet holds a KRT or not.
Is there an app that is the opposite of Humin? One maybe called Avoid...and it alerts you if someone you don't want to see is around...gives a warning if they are in the area?
I love this show. Tim's podcasts are also amazing, if you haven't checked them out yet, go do it!
I almost always learn something new and different from these shows, keep up the good work!
Fucking tea! Where is the wine?! Kevin is the better host!
it's my first video of the series - seriously nice
I'm 5 minutes into this, and the fact that this seems like a relatively insular conversation between two friends unconcerned with a 3rd party of any kind makes me want to click away.
13:27 - ***** - You should definitely do this.
Right, Kevin - Membership sites've been doing this forever - from Andrew Warner to private coaching folks. And I agree with Tim - it's all about how you position it. Many mastermind groups work well.
If you read "Think like a freak", they mention a concept of "self weeding garden" where you setup an incentive to leave early. Say, on top of tiered pricing each member must ask high value questions publicly to the group, say one a month. Configure it like Digg - so other members up/down vote the questions (also a condition for each member to vote on each as part of participation), and you can't have less than N votes - or your fee goes incrementally up by small amount.
Taras Bondarenko Seemed, at least when Tim started talking about it, that Tim was discussing a different type of thing (Kevin too). Not so much a mastermind but more Hard Core fan stuff.
24:20 - That is awesome - Not available in the UK but seems that 'hushed' is offereing something similar
EPIC episode, thanks for great food for thought.
Member only access would be great. My suggestion is to build a community, where the members can interact with each other and within reason also with you. maybe a 1hour monthly chat/live stream with questions/suggestions from the community. or the community electing 2 representatives as well as 2 randomly picked community members to have a google hangout with you guys, that is broadcasted live or uploaded to the member only access area.
thanks for all the content, info and inspiration you guys have been giving me. I hope I can pay it forward one day.

I stopped buying prepared teas like rishi long ago. Want to know why? All the tea bag covers have plastic and this means they will take hundreds of years to disintegrate and it's just one more plastic product we don't need. I'd rather buy loose leaf tea and blend my own. Zhena's Gypsy Teas are on the flip side. They have no plastic, wasteful covers to toss and come in a great, metal tin that can be reused for a variety of things.
You know what MORE than a hundred years to disintegrate? Rocks. Just saying... Oooh human bone, definitely should get rid of that. What's your goal? Everything compostable within your time line?
No biggie, can't hurt. No one "needs" anything right?
shadfurman
I should rephrase. I meant to say bagged teas. I drink tea often and love it all but I do avoid bagged teas. Especially these prepackaged ones where each bag is individually packaged in some combination of tin and plastic to preserve freshness. Those are a complete waste. If you're going to drink tea then buy loose leaf. I think rishi may have some loose leaf so if you can buy it loose over bags then go for it. A small infuse costs a few bucks and you can take then everywhere.
***** This Tumeric and Ginger Rishi tea I got from Amazon came loose leaf, not in tea bags.
PHOTOTRISTAN
That's the way to buy it friend. Good man.
Great show! I had the Disco Disco Duck as a kid, I'd forgotten that even existed!
A 5 or 10 dollar subscription for extra content would be nice. And maybe a VIP group for 50 or 100 dollars a month.
Actually, Rishi Tea is based in my home town of Milwaukee, WI. They make incredible stuff.
MISS you guys in these! Do more soooooon please! :)
I'll buy ya a beer Tim next layover in Atlanta
RE: membership solution. I think you're working to define the "expectation" of your audience and a membership format. Why make it pay or no pay when you can do both. It's free to get in (set the expectation of the free, direct feedback may happen but not likely). Then, maybe you do have a price yet ALSO an alternative way they can earn access. ie. (you personally) define what the characteristics of the ideal person you want to have dialogue with and select the things those people do to set them apart. create some metric to identify that in them, a task, an action etc... to qualify them for X1 participation. X1 people have this much more potential to interact. the, level X2 (accomplish these things or demonstrate these things and or pay this amount) get more access. Seems like part of your plight is the realization that dollars are not the true measurement of the quality of a member. Some of your greatest interaction could be from someone just beginning or an up an commer. They need a way in too. Maybe model it like some of the games on line today. :-) some brainstorming on this will be good! You're close to an ah-hah
Tim , have you been bulking since Novembers episode ? Looks like your putting on some muscle.
For fuck sake Tim, I'm dying here! 1:57
Great show guys!
Subscription yes!
Kevin you are basically describing Patreon.

I am enjoying the fuck outta you guys haha it's like just kicking it with some friends. I like these ones, do one while playing Dungeons and dragons lol I bet that would be hilarious.
kevin talking about a common pitfall of starting up a venture 6:30
i would love to hear about your relationships and how your girlfriend or wife take your new ways of doing things. do you alter your decisions based on their input ( tho they dont have the same information you do about the subject), eg meditating or traveling over seas by yourself for a month. do they put down some of your ideas? Do they read and try to expand their lifes as much as you gentlemen do? Do yous feed off each other in certain areas?
I would love you opinions.
144P resolution - disappointing.
The Random Show is just like Diggnation, soon we'll have meetups.
I would be down with a membership site from either of you. Both of you deliver epic stuff and seem human. In fact, the "human" aspect is what I would pay for.
Tim Ferriss The Duncan Trussell episode was Next Level shit. I do not hear much of "dark side" life from many people. Unless, of course, they are selling How Not To Be Part of The Dark Side 2.0. It was refreshing to hear.
You guys are hilarious!

Well, this was a fucking snooze.
This is boring Tim, not so much on your end but this dude is kind of annoying not gonna lie, he talks about himself too much, I keep thinking why should I listen to this guy? Just thought I should let you know
Yes, Thriller!!!
Always love the entrepreneurship discussions - one of my fav random shows so far - well done Tim Ferriss :) #Believe
Kevin I was at a event that Bovet 1822 sponsored totally told them about the Watchville app. The guy who runs them said he knows the Hodinknee dude, you should do a video with them about watches was a good convo. They said they had a watch that had a record for a 22 day power reserve, stuff you might find interesting.
I tried to use your drink sheet but couldn't but found this app that I think could be great for it. DrinkTallies
Without Alex, Kevin is just meh...
great to see you guys baked.
White pants Tim?
Heard about your show from Ty moss. I used to watch Kevin on diggnation back in the day.
I listen to both of your podcast shows and I love them! I noticed lately that Tim is a big proponent of the Ketogenic Diet. I then listened to Kevin's podcast with Dr.Valter Longo and was surprised that Tim and Kevin have opposing views on the Ketogenic Diet. I came here hoping that you guys will discuss the topic in this episode, which was not the case. Can you please address it together in a different episode or any other platform?
Best!
Ahmad
Does someone know where I can find the usual show notes for this chapter? I can't seem to find them anywhere... Thanks!
Im definitely in on the 'inner circle' , awesome idea #randomshow
What happened to the science of building strength podcast?!!!!
