some of his stuff is the same from freestyle to freestyle but i would call this his most original freestyle in a while. considering all the new tricks he had and invert stuff he had.
I thought that your 2011 performance flowed with the music a little better than your 2012. Maybe it was because you used multiple songs from completely different genres. In 2011, your freestyle followed with the treble of the song versus just the bass. Either way, amazing performances for both years.
For whatever it's worth, I feel like Gentry's new style isn't as competition ready as his old. Yes, his new style is smoother and way more interesting to watch, but from a more trance perspective IMO. His old was more showy, if that makes sense. His 2012 PNWR/Cal states routine was more of a mix if the two if you ask me, which is perfect. i'd like to see that more in his freestyles. Not that this one was bad. It blew my face off. I am still waiting for the day he wins nationals...

Gentry never used the G Funk in competition. Ever since he joined YoYoFactory he's actually only competed with the Genesis, Super G, Shutter and Replay Pro.
You people think its so easy to perform a Worlds freestyle with close to no mistakes and a bunch of new tricks??? NOT!!! I think banger tricks can help to place higher, but think again 6th at worlds - not bad at all!

His "tech" as you refer to here is totally smooth and innovative, and I think the flow of his freestyle along with the music is bangarang enough. I would say he got robbed, but then everyone in the top 10 got robbed depending on who you ask right.

I counted maybe 3 mess ups. That is one per minute. I believe you are correct in saying what you did. In my opinion he did absolutely phenomenal.
