None. America is based on mostly At Will Employment which the rest of the developed world doesn't do. They provide stability and security for their citizens by making employee contracts a law...
It’s called quite firing, so you don’t get unemployment or severance pay. But, do we I understand an employee can do the same and stay in silent quitting mode for more than 6 months. Then you place them on PIP. During which the EMPLOYER has to proof they are offering training or tools to keep their teams competent, or company offers other positions. The employee must be qualified to perform without the obvious evidence of over working them. Umm, there are 27 groups I participate in, that coaches employees on this topic. The money, time and energy is not worth the game. Just be transparent corporate America! Change the predictable, old, dated, and so unsophisticated tactics. It’s embarrassing. Oh by the way.. it’s either remote or bust. I rather pick up knitting and stop buying Starbucks coffee than go into an office. It’s global time CBS!!!
Happening to tons of techbros
My company is doing this now.....
Vote in a union smarten up employers
This happened to me and I didn't even honour the company in my résumé because the time I spent with them was so insignificant that they don't bear mentioning. I quit and found a replacement job that I actually liked shortly thereafter.
What I did was leave the job the same day I was told to do something I didn't like. I am fairly competent but have strengths they could use in another role that no one really wanted to do nor touch. What's funny is that I already saw the signs in just the first month I spent with them. They were leaving crumbs everywhere, and with no coordination between departments who were supposed to keep things private.
They had weird questions that alluded to the equipment I had and how it had good quality for a task, when I wasn't even using expensive technology. It was so awkward. Like an amatuer liar lying to a sleuth. They were never going to fool me.
If you're an employer, have the courtesy to speak with your people before dumping them into roles they don't like, deserve, nor are trained for. You'll be wasting your time, theirs, and will probably become an example of a company to avoid through word of mouth.
Some companies are laying off people as they know they can quiet cut -- or reassign/demote/add responsibility -- to those who are left behind.
Just happened to me...demoted and if I accept the new post I will be back where I started 3 years ago
@@faraboverubieskerry Don't let them discover how cheap it is to outsource your job -- because they will do that. Happened to me. Initially, 2 other people in my department left, so I had to do work by 3 people then not enough, they outsourced the job.
Employer set you up for failure
Truist made my boyfriend drive from Birmingham to Atlanta MWF even though he had a satellite campus down the road from us. He saved that company millions of $. Sadly he obviously had to either quit his well paying job or move to Atlanta.
Computer related careers and marketing businesses will dump most of their workers who in their 40's. These industries are more than others that will not hire workers in their 40's. Where do these worker go? My computer programming neighbor and my computer quality control were layoff in their 40's and they were never able to find a job related in their career. Where do old professional people go after this? Age discrimination is a big problem in America.
Why is the news acting like PIP is a new thing…layoffs have been going on for so long without the public noticing!
Government regulation needs to happen yesterday.
There is always principal of action and reaction.
Its being done to keep money for the greedy and increase productivity from the less fortunate. You have got to love corporate America.
Quiet quitting because of return to office 😂...
Hopefully none of us get reaassigned yuk yuk yuk yuk moo
well yeah, inflation is still high so they're trying to run on a skeleton crew.
They did this to Bighead at Hoolie
They want you to quit instead of firing employees. If you quit you probably can’t get unemployment benefits
I guess I’d let them lay me off or fire me so I could get the unemployment
@@kelleyspears1218 They’ll figure out a way to get rid of you without pay. Your fault.
Companies grow by stretching employees to do more work.
Move over quiet cutting ...No-Show is here.
Glad it’s being talked about, and I like the host, but this isn’t funny or cute….
More work same pay.
they can't do this in California, they will just fire you instead.
That's Capitalism!!!
How's it working out for you?
ohh do tell us how jewish communism is so good
I would just apply to jobs on company time and make them lay me off
They might fire you for cause instead. That is another way to avoid paying severance.
Thanks Lord for your salvation
Thanks Lord for your peace
Salvation is in Christ.
Psalm 23. No vax.
Once they start disrespecting you, it's time to move on.
R.I.P., My "Heck - Are - We" Brother.
Why new terms everywhere all the Time for no reason? Just hire people and make them happy at work.
Blue collar is doing the same thing union or not...just a way to show you the 🚪
I would take any job
Lower pay lower status- let it be
Be on time, work 9am-5pm, do 100% then go home.
U can do extra business on the side
Is the alternative firing everyone right away?
If they where laid off with severance they would have the time to look for a new career they enjoy.
Would you rather get fired or reassigned? I’d take the latter any day. At least then you could find a new job while you have a job if you want.
Ah so this is what happened to Milton in office space 😅 he was asked to report to the basement next to the boiler room.😅
Looks more regulation is need on big corps
Imagine your boss coming to your desk with a mop and bucket for your new assignment
I would fill the bucket with coffee and put it on his desk.
@@sexygeek8996😂
i do not quiet quit. I quietly urinate everywhere except in the toilet when at work for a bad employer.
Its going bad!!!!! Selling out soon
Quite Cutting 😂
Take the new role and look for something somewhere else
I wonder when the two annoying talking heads would get reassigned by CBS News.
That dude's face has outgrown his head. 😑
thiss two Wimmens Pro-Bubbly bin Phiréđ Nôw
😂😂😁😀😁😂😃😄😅😨😨👍👍👍👏👏👏
Stop giving everything these "trendy" millennial / gen-z names. It's so dumb. Just do the news story and report on what's happening. We don't need a new term for every old thing that is not at all new.
Meanwhile, Biden: Bidenomic is working
Biden is your boogeyman for ill-regulated capitalism? Interesting.
Immagrants coming lol
