The i spoke to Londoners along with his would-be constituents in Clacton-on-Sea to see what people think about Farage - one of the UK’s most divisive politicians.
From a ‘narcissist’ and ‘waste of space’ to a ‘down to Earth…good bloke’, opinions were varied…

There's a lot of naivety amongst Reform supporters. Plenty think they'll kick out migrants and stop people from practicing Islam. None of that is written anywhere.

Except he almost never tells the truth... the "Invasion" poster, he told you that leaving the EU wouldn't mean leaving the Free Trade agreement before the vote and after the vote he called for WTA rules. He lies regularly about "illegal asylum seekers" - there's no such thing. Every person in the world has a right to seek asylum and the country in which they seek that asylum has a right to review and reject their application. He lied about running in the election. He lied about Donald Trump's suggestion that we should inject bleach I to our veins. That's just off the top of my head... imagine what you could find if you went looking properly.

When he talks about not hearing English being spoken on busses and trains and that roads are overcrowded because of immigrants its the language that was being spoken in the 70's by the NF. Maybe so many people are at least bilingual these days like his children born to a German lady. One supposes that he instructs his kids only to speak English on public transport, but he won't tell you. He is a populist kneejerk reactionary self promoting rebel rouser with very racist tendencies. The 'arrogance' emanates from him.

Conservatism, keeping things the same, is morally objectional in an imperfect world. We should be striving to change things for the better, not licking the **** of the status quo. All the innovations in modern Western societies come from the centre left. The Right attempts to throttle any positive developments. We've seen this with the Tories stripping away our rights in recent times. We see this in the corruption of the Far Right, Reform UK, Republican America. Where lying is the standard practice. Only yesterday Farage lied that Reform were topping the Tories in large swathes of the country, according to the YouGov poll. This was a blatant lie. My local Reform UK candidate in the council elections started his leaflet with a lie. Trump and Boris always lie. If the Right is so good, why do they try to manipulate us all the time? That doesn't mean that right wing views can't be legitimate. But they have some power lifting to do when it comes to any intellectual or moral credibility.

@@abc-vk5sythere are many factors, but supply and demand is a driving force…and millions entering the country in a very short space of time creates a massive spike in demand in a country where we already had a shortfall of available housing, so it has definitely exacerbated it to this point.
The latest figures also show that over 10% of social housing is now housing foreign nationals and this rises to around 50% of all social housing in London. This while we have native British elderly/families etc struggling while on massive waiting lists, or having to move out of their home town/city to be able to obtain housing.
