A phenomenal album. His later albums could not top this (his next album was just Bad and not Dangerous-ly close to breaking any records meaning he wasn't that invincible on the charts anymore, but that's just my Off The Wall thinking...) When this came out, I was in 5th grade and everyone in class had to show that they had a store bought copy. I think there was one in every desk. I remember one kid had the red zipper jacket and he wore it once at recess. He was "targeted" for it during Dodge Ball (it was like wearing a bulls-eye), he never wore it to school again.
That's deep because it makes Alot of sense. The bad tour broke records, and bad had number ones hits, though, I respect you lived through it, by 12-13 when Bad came out for you HipHop had permeated and become the voice of the youth, from what I've learned. The jacket and your friend is a metaphor for what actually happened to Jackson in life; and, for people who's talents, eccentricities, or success make them a red zipper jacket. Thanks for sharing I'm always fascinated by people who lived Michael mania (the 80s in America) in their teens or 20s.
Loved this album 😊
Stunning Album, Stunning Artist, Now let's see you moonwalk 🙂
Amazing album. I enjoyed your commentary
This was the second vinyl LP I purchased with my own money. I was 11 when it came out.
For me Thriller was high school. If you haven't seen video of the immersive exhibit that was held in New York you should look it up.
