Mercedes is Great in the ring. I went and watched Stephanie Vaquer matches and to me this one was the best. I'm so hoping Bianca will turn heel. Candice was great. She had me rooting for her to win. Ivy showed her stuff.

No shade, I think over her career she is one of the all-time greats, but post-WWE, she's had a hard time getting it back. Adjusting to joshi is hard enough even if you're getting regular reps in America. Coming off the bench after however many months to jump into Stardom (and ambitiously wanting to wrestle AZM, a speed demon with cardio for days) was too much to ask. It's not just Mercedes, Kairi had the same issue when she came back. Too much time away, the wrestlers in Stardom (some of who wrestle over 100 matches a year) had moved past her.

I think AEW's collabs with Stardom are really lacking by not utilizing some Starlight Kid and AZM high speed action, like thats the style of wrestling that would be perfect for an AEW audience, don't get me wrong Im all for seeing Tam and Momo (the mf'in black peach) on an AEW show, but i really feel like Starlight Kid and AZM are some of the real GOATS of Stardom, and I think they could appeal to a western audience. Also, I think we need some Thekla too, I mean she's fluent in english too, so why not? Maybe we can get some more Stardom representation on the next Forbidden Door, because I personally felt like the Stardom stuff was the best parts of this year's show (because Stardom is probably the best women's wrestling promotion)
