This will allow many relations to have access to this knowledge and hopefully, be inspired to offer tobacco protocol in person to learn more from Elders, Knowledge Keepers, teachers or dancers in their communities.
The terms “Indigenous” and “First Nations” are also used somewhat interchangeably, as a means to acknowledge the existence of many Nations and identities across Turtle Island (North America). Also that our Métis, Inuit, mixed ancestry and other First Peoples relatives join us in the Powwow circle as well.
