Where do I stand if the employer has started redundancy proceedings and my notice period will be completed on the exact anniversary of my 104 week employment?
Hi! I've been notified that I am selected for redunancy on a random Friday afternoon without any prior warning or notice. My team was shocked with the news. I wasn't given any consultation too. Was there any potential laws broken? what options could I do?
I was offered a role with a new company back in February. My current employer begged me to stay and matched the salary of the new job so I agreed to stay and rescinded my acceptance of the new job. I would have started in the beginning of May had I not rescinded my acceptance. I have now found out today I will be made redundant due to a restructure, do I have any rights?
I am currently in similar situation, I got 14 days redundancy notice from my company they dissolved my current project and they will be opening the project with new name and i am not given any chance for interview also. They are offering me 2 months salary as a settlement, I worked for them for 2.8 years approx. So shall i hire a solicitor to fight the case? I read on internet that 2 years salary should be given to the employee
What about when you face a redudancy because they created new positions, and you apply but on the interview for the new position you feel like the questions are made in such a way to put you in difficulty so you won't pass the interview.. and one of the reason is because of lack on training for that position..I mean from shift leader to shift manager position..what can be in your favour?
@@terrygorry well based of the fact that is a new senior management I think they wanna get rid of us, the leading team 🤣.so they put us in difficulty by asking questions they know we can't answer

What if I am being made redundant for a job title I have not done since April since being unofficially seconded to another busier area (that area is still busy) plus the job title is part of an ongoing apprenticeship?

You should arrange a consultation with a solicitor if you are looking for legal advice. Or you could just use Google and take a gamble 😉

Depends on the circumstances what you can or cannot do.
