I know how that sounds, it's not that I think the new direction is inherently bad, there's some concepts with potential, but it certainly deviates from the tone FNaF 1-3(/4?) were trying to achieve. Now the story has far-fetched sci-fi stuff (soul alchemy, a secret underground lab, illusion discs), is a mangled mess of details dispersed throughout media which might or might not be important, and, of course, has what every horror story needs: family drama! and I'm excluding HW and SB. This stuff can work, but it isn't what I came here for. I personally preferred that grimmer, slightly more grounded story, at face value about a tragedy surrounding a sketchy company, which caused it to slowly fade until it became just a memory from the past, but, if you dug deeper, you could uncover the truth of what actually happened through hidden, cryptic clues, and then start a journey to finally set the victims to rest and punish the monster behind it all. All with extra elements of psychological horror because of the nightmarish reality those children are trapped in, which this very song depicts perfectly.
exactly! i love security breach and the books were my go to when i was in like, 6th grade, but the feeling you get playing the first game is just so,,, idk, it's hard to explain. there was something about it
I find it fascinating that many of the early songs still got bits and pieces of lore correct before being confirmed or denied. Probably even shaped the beginning of the story
it's so cool when I listen to a lot of older songs and I re-think the lyrics they just click with the lore, even though they were released way before there was more info than just a dude that killed some kids, it always blows my mind

I mean, it wasn't necessarily confirmed, but it made most sense I suppose.

I think that this song describes a lot of misplaced anger, it is not about children angry at someone for taking their life, it is about the fact that they never got a chance to explore themselves But they are projecting their anger onto this imposter because that is how they are trying to control it, when it is really being caused by something they have no control over I mean in the songs they usually talk about not wanting to be here, and not wanting to hurt anyone, yet in the game they are jumpscaring people for seemingly no reason, but maybe that reason is because they don’t know how to deal with their anger, I mean, they are children, so that would explain all of the impulsivity, I just think that to call the animatronics or the children inside them scary would miss out on who they are, but also what they went through. This is just a projection of anger, in order to avoid confronting it. Maybe they don’t intend to stuff anyone in a suit, but that is all that they know when it comes to anger, because they never got a chance to look at things as they really are, and they have facial recognition, yet it always makes them hostile towards adults even if they did nothing wrong, so that anger must be caused by something else besides just the person that betrayed them, perhaps that intensified it, but it is about missing out.

Yup, that's the very iconic "Folklore Freddy" voice that only lasted through out the original FNaF days. These days, I still wish, 'til this very day, that MrCreepyPasta voiced Freddy in the official games. Out of the many people who created their own rendition, his interpretation of _THE_ Freddy Fazbear was the only one that sounded so perfect! Nowadays.....like most of the animatronics, Freddy has lost personality, and no one hardly remembers "Folklore Freddy". What a waste, to be honest.

I still remember the day I discovered this franchise. It was the first game, I was looking at a GameInformers magazine when I came across a dark image, with bonnie in the center. Beside bonnie, on the left was chica, and on the right was Freddy, who at the time I thought was a dog. I grabbed a flashlight, trying to get a better look at the picture, I noticed party hats and balloons in the background. From the very beginning I was intrigued. That was 6 years ago, I've been in this fanbase since the start. The theories, the songs.. I even remember blasting the "Five Nights at Freddy's" song by The Living Tombstone in my moms room while she was getting ready for work. However, the music video always scared me too much, so I would play it on the lyric video instead. And oh boy, I was there, I drew fan art(mainly just tracing fan art), I used to call Withered Bonnie, Wizard Bonnie Yet I'm still here.
I honestly come back to these songs years later because it reminds me of a fan base I was really into, besides Undertale and a few others, but fnaf has always been the first one I jump to since when I found it I liked how it was such a well made game and the lore was amazing as well, basically a good game will me hooked and I'll stay if there's a good fan base, but sometimes I just like the game, lore, etc.

Scott have done a really good job to make us interested in FnaF, and the story behind. I haven't played FnaF unfortunately (yet. I plan to tho). But there is no way I'd be able to see it as some cure and fancy thing. Similar like with AMerican McGee's Alice. You play it for the story and the horror thrill.

Listening to this is a punch in the gut from nostalgia. I still remember the first time I listened to this - I was in a hospital bed, the bright lights overhead and the curtains parted while I was scrolling through stuff to do while I was hospitalized for three days. This was in my recommendations- I remember being addicted 😂 Man, I miss the FNaF fandom. All the Afton crap messed things up for me - the first three games were the OG Five Nights at Freddy's.
I find the aftons interesting but it became tiring when all the spotlight in the fandom was on them, when there’s tons of other characters that deserve just as much attention, game & books. Even the animatronics are cool, personally my favourite animatronic is Circus Baby, but Mangle is awesome too, and so is the Puppet. Circus baby does get some attention in fan-art at least because Elizabeth is associated with her, but all the old theories on Mangle are still cool to me and I prefer it over the new ones. (The lore became very messy, so I don’t blame matpat for making crazy theories, cause fnaf is crazy now lol.) The puppet is just so awesome in every way basically, I may be a bit biased because I like anything that has a black-white colour palette and is Doll-like, but still.
honestly yeah, I was happy with the first few, but as popularity grew I guess the creator needed something to keep them coming back, but he ended up leaving it anyway

Yup, that's the very iconic "Folklore Freddy" voice that only lasted through out the original FNaF days. These days, I still wish, 'til this very day, that MrCreepyPasta voiced Freddy in the official games. Out of the many people who created their own rendition, his interpretation of _THE_ Freddy Fazbear was the only one that sounded so perfect! Nowadays.....like most of the animatronics, Freddy has lost personality, and no one hardly remembers "Folklore Freddy". What a waste, to be honest.

I wanna say that it was fun being original while it lasted, but after hearing this song, it's apparent that this market hasn't been run dry just yet. I still remember the day I discovered this franchise.
It was the first game, I was looking at a GameInformers magazine when I came across a dark image, with bonnie in the center. Beside bonnie, on the left was chica, and on the right was Freddy, who at the time I thought was a dog.
I grabbed a flashlight, trying to get a better look at the picture, I noticed party hats and balloons in the background. From the very beginning I was intrigued. That was 6 years ago, I've been in this fanbase since the start.
The theories, the songs..
I even remember blasting the "Five Nights at Freddy's" song by The Living Tombstone in my moms room while she was getting ready for work. However, the music video always scared me too much, so I would play it on the lyric video instead.
And oh boy, I was there, I drew fan art(mainly just tracing fan art), I used to call Withered Bonnie, Wizard Bonnie
Yet I'm still here.
Calling withered Bonnie “wizard Bonnie” reminds me of how I used to call Nightmare moon from MLPFIM “Nightmare doom” in batmans voice.

I honestly come back to these songs years later because it reminds me of a fan base I was really into, besides Undertale and a few others, but fnaf has always been the first one I jump to since when I found it I liked how it was such a well made game and the lore was amazing as well, basically a good game will me hooked and I'll stay if there's a good fan base, but sometimes I just like the game, lore, etc.

I find the aftons interesting but it became tiring when all the spotlight in the fandom was on them, when there’s tons of other characters that deserve just as much attention, game & books. Even the animatronics are cool, personally my favourite animatronic is Circus Baby, but Mangle is awesome too, and so is the Puppet. Circus baby does get some attention in fan-art at least because Elizabeth is associated with her, but all the old theories on Mangle are still cool to me and I prefer it over the new ones. (The lore became very messy, so I don’t blame matpat for making crazy theories, cause fnaf is crazy now lol.) The puppet is just so awesome in every way basically, I may be a bit biased because I like anything that has a black-white colour palette and is Doll-like, but still.
