    Good review.
The Break up of the video feed has has been discuss on many other review vids. Potensic has said, the problem is with Mics, and other devices that transmits in 2.5ghz wireless frequency, could interfere with the video transmission . Other reviewers, have had the Atom out at over 4 kilometres with zero video feed break up. 😊

That's what I'm learning. Thank you for sharing and reinforcing what I'm learning about Potensic! Still, with 2.5ghz being a commonly used frequency by other wirelessly functional devices, it's unacceptable that the dropout occurs like it does. It will lead to real problems if not addressed in some manner. There will ALWAYS be potential for signal interference, but I've not had this severe of a problem before with a drone when it comes to interference from a competing device.

IT ain't the drone operator error.

In fairness, sometimes it absolutely is.

A bit overkill on your criticism for what is actually a GREAT drone for the money. Are there better performers out there in the same drone space? In some aspects yes, but expect to pay at least 30% more.

You're entitled to your opinion. It isn't great. It's good. I won't knock it too hard because it's one of the better GPS/RTF drones that has come across my desk from companies that send me product to test. I really love the Atom's overall flyability. Nearly anyone can pick this drone up and fly it right out of the box with little-to-no issues. I was extremely pleased to not experience any major malfunctions with the compass or gyro data that would cause irregularities in flight and the motors are strong enough to make this a reliable flyer for anyone.
That said, the camera system is disappointing. Is it awful? No. Is it something I'd recommend to somebody looking to really develop their skill as an aerial photographer/videographer? Also, no.
Price IS important, especially for beginners who want to get a feel for flying before going all-in on it. However, if you can afford a $400 drone (the Potensic Atom Fly More kit), you can afford a $450 drone (the leading competitive product's Fly More kit). Period. If you're talking about the difference between a $250 drone and a $5,000 drone, I see your point...but we're not. We're talking about $50. Something you could, if you REALLY wanted to, scrape together in a day if you tried hard enough.
Here's my advice to you and anyone who is reading this that might subscribe to this train of thought:
Price point IS a priority...but it should not be your highest priority. If it is, you need to hold off on buying a drone at all and reevaluate your financial position before investing into this hobby. It is costly and that is a lesson I have learned time and again over the last 7 years. That's not to say that the Potensic isn't a drone worth buying. If you truly have $400 burning a hole in your pocket that you'd like to use to buy a drone and you don't care about the camera quality it has on-board, the Potensic Atom is a great fit.
TL;DR - I wasn't being too harsh. This is a good drone with solid flight performance. The camera is just not great and the fact the signal is stomped on so badly by another digital signal from a consumer audio product is discouraging.

You are not aiming the antennas towards the drone those blue rays emanating from the white triangle on the map should be green I flew 3 kilometers away with a hill between me and the drone and there was no lagging, smearing or artifacting until I reached 3 kilometers and 70 meters, than I lost the signal and drone started returning and I got the connection back.

Thanks for the tip. While this makes sense from a technical sense, for a drone that is being billed as an alternative to some of the more popular brands -- this type of specificity in UI/operation is unacceptable. There would be a range at some point where ANY drone would be susceptible to improperly aimed antennas...but in 2024 with ALL of the other options out on the market that can handle this adversity, this cannot and should not be an issue.

Not sure if you're being genuine or being a dick, but I'll assume you're being genuine. In that case, it's a non-solution. I record audio and operate other drones (including FPVs with varying RX and TX combinations) and never have that issue. If the transmission between the mic dongle and the receiver is responsible for this level of breakup...Potensic has a real issue on their hands.

@TheDroneGeek no im not being a dick. This issue happened to another pilot and they contacted potensic. The youtuber/pilot was told to turn off their dji mic. Before knocking my comment give it a try and maybe put the results in your next video. Thanks for the reply and look forward to seeing your results and if this fixes the lag.
