I would recommend the mini 4 pro for a couple of reasons .first it is under 250 grams and obstacle avoidance.no need to register .yes it is a little pricier but they won't be turned off by this hobby to never return.i started with the mini 2 and now own 7 dji drones.$9,000 worth 😮😊
Nice video. I appreciate that you included the prices in your video. You also have an easy voice to listen to. It would be perfect for radio / podcasts as well. One thing I would include in your video is links to the drones as I would buy through your link. Overall, well done!
I'm leaning towards Air3S or Mavic Classic. If you're going to fork out your money, might ad well learn on a drone which can last for several years and with optimal features.
On a general basis, I agree with Harry on his idea that you want to spend money up-front on a drone so you know you're covered from all angles (people make the mistake of going cheap because they don't want to crash an expensive drone...but the thing is if you buy a good drone from gate, your risk of crashing decreases significantly compared to a piece of cheap junk). However, you don't need to buy an Air 3S or Mavic 3 to be satisfied. Will you love either of those drones? I'm confident you will. But you will also be elated with the Mini 4 Pro, Mini 3 (Pro), or Mini 4K. It really depends on how you want to fly, if you want to do anything professionally with them, and what your starting budget is.
@@TheDroneGeek agreed. You don't need all of the bells and whistles if you don't need them. For me it's important to get a drone that can withstood high winds and is capable to stay in the air for a prolonged time. If others have different needs, by all means, get that mini. I need a great drone right out of the gate..
@@TheDroneGeek Well, I want to fly a drone in windy areas of the world such as Iceland and the Faroe islands. I know that the mini 4 Pro might handle strong winds, but I'm not convinced it can hold a candle to a (for example) Mavic 3 Classic. That's my main worry and my deciding factor. Right now the Mavic 3 classic can be purchased at about €895 with a RC N1 controller (the older type). It comes with the following: "Drone / Intelligent Flight Battery / DJI RC-N1 Remote Controller / 3 x Low-Noise Propellers (pair) / 65W Portable Charger / USB-C Cable / RC Cable (USB-C Connector) / RC Cable (Lightning Connector) / RC Cable (Standard Micro-USB Connector) / Storage Cover / Spare Control Sticks" . I figured: For an extra €300 you can get the new controller. So, for about €1200 I'm all set. The negative side: no extra battery. Good Deal or nah?
I have Dji mini 4 pro and autel nano plus. Almost everything is better in dji but 2 things are worst. 1 is reception in urban zone and no fly restriction in autel. Second Video and pictures are better in autel.
I just want to do a flyby pass my pond but I don't have wifi down there. Is there a $100 or less drone you can view video from with no wifi where the drone will be flying?
Nothing worth even bothering with at that price point. Just save up for a DJI Mini or something in that class. You won't need wifi to fly it and it will do exactly what you need it to do.
You look way better in good lighting and without the ball cap. Just sayin🤫.. Anyway, im always looking forward to your takes on drones. Your information helped me determine which drone would be ideal for me. I'm considering both Aur 3S and the Mavic Classic. Im leaning toward the Mavic Classic because I'm a total newbie and working with ND filters in changing weather conditions seems like a nightmare. Case in point: drone must be able to withstand strong winds and be relatively silent while shooting amazing videos in Iceland and the Faroe Islands. Would be interested in a sound level video. I know 80db doesn't sound ljke a lot on paper, but if you fly relatively close to people ( while maintaining a safe distance) it can be jarring and rage-inducing. Speaking from own experience when a drone was buzzing above me when I visited Iceland last year. Big ask, I know 😅. Would love to hear your point of view if u have the time. Huge Thanks. Keep up the great work 👍🏻
Two things: 1. Nothing has happened yet and even if/when it does, it will not impact already existing drones - only new drones from DJI (i.e. drones that have not yet been released). 2. The world is much bigger than the United States. This video could still be relevant to roughly 7.6 billion people even if DJI is banned on US soil.

That's great feedback. Excellent points that I also did not mention in this video -- I could not agree more! Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Best entry level under 200?
Just save up $100 more dollars and get a DJI Mini or a Potensic Atom.
As a beginner who don't know how to fly I believe that the best choice is the 4k (just to learn)

All the drones you suggest are DJI ..the Potensic Atom is up there with most of these
That’s like, your opinion, man…

What about the ban on DJI?

I am already beta testing the air 3s,just kidding.i am not a RUclips content provider yet.cant wait to see it!!😂😊
If I had to pick 1 drone to be buried with me forever it would be the air 3😁🇺🇸🤠😎
DJI is iphone only
Not sure what you mean - Android can also download and use the DJI Fly app.
@TheDroneGeek Google doesn't support that App. From Amazon; Due to platform compatibility issue, the DJI Fly app has been removed from Google Play.
I have been unable to get my mini3 to work my sansung s22 ultra, and have had to return it without flying. I am not alone.
Don’t use Korean phones.
@cordschwarzenegger Did you try downloading the app directly from DJI. That's the workaround if you're looking to still download.
No CCP for me
Have fun waiting 10 years for a drone half as capable. 🤷🏻♂️
@@TheDroneGeekthat's the frustrating part. EVERYTHING consumer tech is made in china. It sucks😂
